  1. Marie Halvorson Memorial Geocache Constance Doty Memorial Geocache
  2. I've two people ask if they could copy the Constance Doty Memorial Geocache. It's a set of hollow books in the local library. I gave them all the info and wished 'em the best of luck.
  3. I use a stick that I found while on one of my first caching trips. I took it home, let it dry, peeled the bark off of, sanded and shellacked. After that, I read a few pages on how to create my own. Essentially, for the really 'smooth' look, you have to soak the sticks for two weeks and the bark falls right off. After that, you have to dry it for another two, if not more. Sand, decorate (optional), seal.
  4. This is not the image of any of the books used, but we recently placed a puzzle/multi geocache in the local public library using these hollow books, shelved and barcoded just like 'real' books. The books are from Secret Storage Books. The cache is Constance Doty Memorial Geocache.
  5. Evenfall, I'll toss in with you. I don't quite understand how the process works or what is required, but I'd like to see benchmarks in PQs, so fire away.
  6. Perfect! Thanks, LSUFan. It worked just fine and I've got more than enough info now.
  7. So, I've searched, read, pondered, but still cannot figure it out. Can you run pocket queries on benchmarks? I've gone paperless, but the benchmark descriptions are still the most useful thing. The pocket queries for gc, run through GSAK -> HTML, then Plucker, are wonderful. I'd like to do the same with benchmarks, but I cannot figure out how. The LOC files don't have the descriptions and seem to be limited to 20, max. So, I'm looking for an easy way to get a large list of benches, HTML formatted, with all the descriptions. Anyone help?
  8. Yes, you are far too old. It's best to sell your GPS and stock up on Matlock tapes and oatmeal. Ri-i-i-ight. My mother, who is 60, loves gc. You are only as old as you act.
