  1. Hi there, There is an event at Fannie Mae Dees Park on July 12th from 5-6 PM, that would be a great chance for you to connect with other area cachers. I will be there with my family and I know that lots of the club regulars are planning to attend, so come on out and join us. We own a few boats in the club and I am sure that you will find someone who has the same interests. MTGC: Ice Cream Social in July
  2. The Middle Tennessee Geocachers Club will have it's 11th Annual Elections event in January. Here is the link to the 10th Annual Event. Monkeybrad and Scoot the Frog's Halloween Event celebrates 10 years in October, as well. The page for that should be up soon.
  3. 98 days, I stopped to spend that 99th day at the hospital with my wife while our first child was born. We did take him to find a cache on the way home from the hospital though.
  4. Appears to be a New York State flag on the ferry and the Malta Drive In sign is a match for Malta NY.
  5. Moved to "Geocaching Topics" as this is not really a regional issue.
  6. I have heard that several people have found The Key to the Cryptonomicon to be quite challenging. Over a year to put together, 7 months to the first find, found 40-ish times in 4 years, often by large groups working together and it has spawned it's own threads and sites dedicated to solving it. I think you will find it fits the bill quite nicely.
  7. There are lots of great caches in the New Orleans area, but in my opinion, the absolute "Must do" cache of the area would have to be View Carre'. Check the page and the gallery if you need more evidence. I often send non-cachers to do that cache, just to get to experience the wonderful opportunity to see the city from a different perspective.
  8. I don't have a link off the top of my head, but if you search for all caches in a state using the hide and seek a cache page, then click on the little blue ribbon at the top of the page and it will re-order the search to show all of the "most favorited" caches in the state. This link to "Alabama's Most Favorited" should do it. Of course, this works with any state, but you do need to be a premium member to reorder by favorites, at this point.
  9. Christmas Cache, Florida's oldest active cache is not too far away and is a great hike through a beautiful natural area. I enjoyed hunting it last year and the others in that park.
