  1. I tried it before posting. Logged out both from Forums & Geocaching. Didn't work.
  2. For non premium members, your forum title is "Tadpole" with less than 10 posts, and "Geocacher" after that. Group is either "Members" (free membership), "Premium Members" (paid membership), "Charter Members" (for those who've been around since pretty early - 2002? and remained a premium member since then) and the rest (Moderator, Reviewer, Volunteer, etc.) yeah, but I'm a Premium member ... and it still says "Geocacher" and "Group: Members".
  3. Any reason why my forum Group says "Members" even if I changed the text on my profile? What am I doing wrong?
  4. No single cache has been published on my State since Sep 11th (10 days now). I know reviewers are volontiers with their own life, projects, work and problems. That they go on holidays and, sometimes, even geocaching . But I expected some kind of supervisor/co-reviewer would act when needed. Should I consider this behaviour a normal situation? No, I didn't e-mail my reviewer. I'm sure (s)he knows there are caches pending and I cannot see any problem with mine (in the woods, far away from nearer cache, traditional). And no, I am not complaining, just asking what's the correct way to handle it. Thks
  5. Does this happen? I've never been loged out, and I'm not the fastest typing person . With an average of 100 words per log ...
  6. Yes, sure it has. But your image cannot be viewed in full, only the small reduced one is available. I was looking for a method to show a reduced one that can be clicked to see the original, big, one. Thks
  7. Ooops, by the way ... never thought I would find it in the woods.
  8. We didn't even reach the site, but it was a nice encounter. You can read the full log here. (Edited: Thanks to GOF & Bacall for his suggestion on resizing the image. Click it to enlarge)
  9. Here? I got 479 caches (but unable to get the exact url, just play a little bit and you'll get them) on a 16miles side square. Yes, it seems unsane . Congratulations!
  10. Those caches were placed in May of 2009. Unless that is a new trail, "anyone else" had eight years before that to place caches, but didn't. You are assuming all geocachers started geocaching on 2001 ... Anyway, I was not trying to discuss about this particular serie, just to point out another point of view: fullfilling a place is not necessarily a good idea. But of course it's your serie/decission.
  11. Take a look at this serie GC1PMPZ of 70 caches. Even if 528' rule is ok, my personal feeling is that they left no room for anyone else. So think it twice before saturating a nice place just because you know it.
  12. Para quien le interese, esta disponible una macro que actualiza el campo County de GSAK para poder obtener las estadísticas por Comarca en Cataluña. Podeis descargarla dese éste post.
  13. Download LOC files, one at a time, to GSAK. Mark each found cache manually. Run the statistics. As you get more and more it will be obvious than being a premium member it's worth the price!
  14. I know there is a minimum distance of 0.1mile, but didn't know if there is a maximum distance. As it will be 50km, I was wondering if my reviewer would see any problem there. And ... should I tell the reviewer how the mistery is solved? (this would prevent himself from solving it if he likes ). _____ gojkgo, the placement of the first stage of the bonus cache is part of the mistery ... placing the mistery there would make it too obvious! _____ Thks for all the answers and clarifications.
  15. Hi Oisín, thks for your answers. It will. The question is not about it's listing's coordinates but about the distance from listing's coordinates to initial Waypoint.
  16. I'm planning a serie of caches, on each container you will find a clue. Putting all the clues together, and solving the mistery behind, will give you access to the first hidden waypoint of an aditional cache. Question 1: Traditional or Multi? I was going to mark the first set as Traditional, but recently I found a cache with a clue for another one, and it was marked Multi. Must the first set be marked Multi? They can be find on their own and no need to search for the others if you don't like to. Question 2: Multi or Mistery? The aditional one, must be marked Multi (you need its waypoint and the other caches) or Mistery (you must solve the clues)? Question 3. How far away can a Mistery/Multi be from its first Waypoint? For coherence and geographic reasons I would like to put it some 50Km away. Is this acceptable? Thks
  17. Ok thks. I didn't understand this from the instructions wording ... "Please Note: The coordinates used in Google Earth are only an approximation and can be up to 100 ft from the actual location. The Geocaching Google Earth feature is a tool for viewing geocaches in a general location. Do not use the coordinates in Google Earth for finding or placing geocaches." I understood this as a general GE inaccuracy caution, not as an intentional "placing in diferent location" when using Viewer. Thks for the clarification.
  18. I'm not talking about general Google Earth inaccuracy. What surprises me is that the caches are not placed at their correct coordinates when using Earth Viewer. If I enter the coordinates (copy & paste) manually on GE for known, already found, open air caches that are easily identifiable, the mark goes almost exactly where it should. I would say less than a couple of meters in all the ones I've tried. (I know GE is not exact in some areas, probably I'm lucky with mine). But, when using Earth Viewer, the cache is placed in erroneous coordinates. Clicking on "Properties" shows diferent values from the correct ones. What am I doing wrong?
  19. Who knows? Maybe I'll try ... Thks
  20. I just discovered, and was pleasantly surprised, someone is watching at my only cache (more will come! ). Is there a way to know who is interested on it? Just curious.
  21. Thks. I cannot install the script, no "Install script" option anywhere on my FireFox 3.5.2, neither on context menu or Tools.
