I have a legend hcx and when I turn it on in my house it tracks all the movement that it makes. so when I download on to my mac I get like 100 active logs and most of them are in a clump of just around my house. Is there a way to turn this off, so when I want to track I can just tell it to. not all the time?? Thanks

Can you also use that firmware for the lengend hcx?

So I just learned Im having this same problem. software version 3.00 gps sw version 2.8. I loaded some ibycus topo maps and now whenever I powerdown with the sd card in place it beeps untill batteries are removed. Is there a way to fix this or talk to garmin and send it in?

So when I power down the gps it powers down and stays on a constant beep. the only way to make it stop is to take out the battery. I'm trying to do a master reset an I cant even do then. Can anyone help? I got something. I can power up and power down when I remove the sd card. hope that helps/

What brand and model of GPS receiver do you use? What program are you using to send the waypoints to your receiver? Garmin Legend HCx. And I'm using Roadtrip

so I loaded a bunch of caches onto my gps. and now I found them. is there a way to get them off my gps without deleting them, cuz when I do delete them off the gps, they just come back when I send things to my gps(because there still on my comp) and i dont want to delete them off my computer. Hope that makes sense and someone can help me!

So I got them loaded once. then I was playing around adding more areas and now its all off my gps, back to the base map. any suggestions?

I also downloaded what i thought was it "IbycusTopo21iso.zip" but i cant seem to get it working. any help with that would help to. thanks)

I have a Garmin leg hcx and was wondering if anyone around Calgary or in Alberta has downloaded/bought the Canada west or just any of the Canada Topo maps and if it was worth it. Are they pretty good for Alberta and such? How do you like them. Thanks. Jeff
