  1. This is my favorite so far: The Dark Tower VII Of that set, I like #4, the 5/5, best. I think this new one will be fun, too, if anyone can ever find it. The Hobbit Note: This is a Members Only cache.
  2. I guess I always figured we'd start using "GO" prefixes (get it? G-O, geo). I can't afford a new GPS. Can't use "GD," people would think you're flamin' their cache. "GE?" Nah, the Sylvania people would get upset. "GA?" Nah, the Geoholics Anonymous people would fall off the wagon. "GB?" Not goin' there. "GH?" Nope, automatic 4 game suspension. "GM?" Nah, the Dodge and Ford people would get upset. "GN?" Nope, ACLU would sue. "GZ?" Maybe, means "Ground Zero," a term geocachers use for the spot where their GPS says the cache OUGHT to be. I still like "GO," though. I've never seen "o" confused with "0" or "1" confused with "l," maybe I'm using the wrong font. Oh, to be OT, I'll say 7 Dec. Pearl Harbor day.
  3. Oops! Sorry! I missed that. Forgive me, I come from Harold Ford country! "Vote early and vote often!"
  4. Maxcacher, hands down. The fat guy he hangs around with is pretty cool too!
  5. Sorry, I thought you meant the Original Cache Tribute coin.
  6. E-mail sent but returned ubndeliverable? PM sent Same here.
  7. It's automated, you should have gotten an email with a link to click on. If you don't, email our webmaster at webmaster(at)gowt.org. Paul will fix you up pronto! You might check your spam filter if you have one.
  8. Cache has been archived since April 2004. Chalk it up to newbie error?
  9. I knew what you meant. I guess our brains rattle on the same frequency.
  10. You may be able to get around the extra expense of so many different colors and fine detail in the service branch emblems by making that side an actual color photo with an epoxy coating. Nice looking coin, I'll take most anything POW-MIA related.
  11. One of mine sold for $12, which was 3X what I paid for it, and more than I bid to get it back. I think my design was pretty plain, I made it before the craze really took off, and naively thought a less fancy design would be cheaper to produce. Only had 100 made, though, and I'm down to my last two.
  12. I highly recommend this cache, if you're up to it, and you have the time. The owner is one of the nicest geocachers you'll ever meet, too. Hope you enjoy the trip, I've actually cached in your area before, my mother-in-law lives in Auburn!
  13. Don't know the exact coordinates for Rendevous, but this cache is really close. Search around it, or come over to our local forums at Geocachers of West Tennessee.

  16. I wish he'd have been using a Magellan. Nice series idea, Prntr1. How about a tie in to this cache? Did I miss it, can we order yet? Can't afford the whole set at once, but I'll watch with interest.
  17. I always use Global Priority Mail, the flat rate cardboard envelopes with a padded envelope stuck inside. $5.25 and it has a tracking number; can't be insured, but at least it can be tracked. As for "that store," we're not a whole lot better off here in the states! $3.13 for one coin, times 5 different orders is $15.65, and they're shipped USPS first class!
  18. No, because I really don't have any extras of anything to trade. I have some things coming, eventually, but mostly stuff that others would have ordered, too. Anything I trade now will be my own personal keeper coins, which I hate to do, but the trade was made fairly, so I have to try to hold up my end of it. Darn post office!
  19. I'm in need of 1 (one trade made, tks) GOWT Gold coins to replace a personal trade that got lost in the mail. If you have an extra to trade, please email me with what you're looking for and I'll see if I have one. I can't afford to pay inflated eBay prices! But don't even ask for my Moun10Bike coin!
