  1. Much of the above just makes me scratch my head! I have an aging Dakota 20. It's not listed as having the capability for Wherigo. Is that true?
  2. I've lost a couple TBs, but my current situation is new to us. We started 2nd place horseshoe medal from Qatar during Desert Storm. It traveled pretty soon over to England. Bounced around a little until one guy picked it up and has been dipping it in every cache he's found since Dec 5th last year. Nine months dipping a TB! Yeah, what have I got to complain about, it's still in existence? My aim was to keep sharing it around, not to wind up as someone's personal TB. Would it be small of me to suggest to the dipper to move it along, or simply wait until he gets tired of it? Not sure of etiquette on that.
  3. I was trying to make it much harder. It's ready to drop. Thanks for your answer. Dadburn them people who keep TBs though. Gary
  4. It has been 15 months since our original TB has seen activity. I have made numerous attempts to contact the last known cacher who picked it up, but no response. I'd like to send out the "COPY" dog tag that came with the original, but I can't figure out how to do that and still 'continue' with the log history. Is this an involved procedure? Gary
  5. [quote I have sent emails to players who post they took the bug but never post where they release it. I don't think they know how to log the TB's I never hear back from my emails--- We have a bug taken by a student last January. We've sent many emails over the months without an answer. Now I wonder if those emails that are sent thru Geocaching.com were 'non-deliverable'. Could it be that all our email tries have been non-deliverable, and therefore a waste of time? Flutterwheelers
  6. Would you care to elaborate? Is there a cache close to where they live, and they don't like so many visitors, ... or ? Gary
  7. There is also the possibility of finding the cache between the time its placed and published, there by finding and signing the nice clean log. There have been a couple of times where I have done exactly that and don't feel a bit guilty. GFETE I'm afraid I don't understand how you can find a cache before it's published? Flutterwheelers
  8. While I am not averse to picking up most things CITO, I really hate cigarette butts. They are nasty, vile, difficult and time consuming to pick up, and when there are lots of them concentrated, looks just terrible. If you're a smoker, caching or not, do what somebody mentioned above, take out the butts with you. A pristine forest shouldn't look like an ash tray!
