  1. Yes - that answered my question Note: you still have to change the reference point to view waypoints alphabetically as well
  2. While searching for waypoints and geocaches in my 60CS the screen reads: "All symbols near current location." I have waypoints/geocaches downloaded a distance from 100-200 miles from my "current location." Question: how do I view these waypoints/geocaches on the GRSr

    Cammo Tape

As a new geocacher, I've been collecting goodies for caches (mostly at rummage sales = cheap!) I've been purchasing Thermos bottles which I think will make great cache containers (@ $0.10 each :~) I tried painting one today with paint formulated for plastic (with a camouflage scheme.) All worked well until I touched it after it dried. The paint came right off :~( So - I think I will revert to camouflage tape. Question: where may one procure it cheap?
  4. This is exactly what I've done and it works perfectly. The question that I now have is: how do I configure GSAK to show the descriptions of the cache MRSR71
  5. Is the GSAK software "USB" compatible? I'd like to be able to upload coordinates to my Garmin GSMAP 60CS. I'm currently utilizing WATCHER which requires me to enter the coordinates manually into MapSource City Select and then upload to the GPS
  6. I figured it out. Thanks.....MRSR71
  7. I'm stumped Two months ago, I downloaded (Pocket Query I think), several geocaches in the .gpx format and opened them in "Watcher." This proved good for me as I didn't have internet access for two months while on vacation the the Eastern Sierra's in Calif. Now I'm home and I tried downloading caches for my local area and they are now .loc files which Watcher doesn't recognize (?) Can someone explain what I'm doing incorrectly? I'm suffering from "brain-fade " I am a Premium Member. Thanks and happy caching....MRSR71

    Ammo Cans

Where can one purchase ammo cans and log books specific to caching? Is there a website that supports (sells) such items. I'm hooked.....MRSR71
  9. Hi guys, I got everything working properly. The only thing left to do is receive the GPS and download the .gpx files. A big thanks to all who responded to my questions. My vacation will certainly be more enjoyable now Thanks again...
  10. Thanks for all the help. I've completed everything that was suggested. Question: will the .gpx file be e-mailed to me? Thanks again...
  11. I just ordered a Garmin GSMAP 60CS. It should arrive tomorrow. Here's my situation; I will be on an extended vacation beginning tomorrow and the area I'm going to has 100's of caches. I will have my laptop with me but I won't have internet access. What I'd like to do is install software (?), and download the caches (with descriptions), to the laptop before I leave. I will join this morning. Any suggestions?? Thanks....
  12. Howdy, Forgive the newbie question What software do I use to "view" the cache description from caches downloaded from geocaching.com? EasyGPS doesn't have this option. Thanks...
  13. Can a Garmin iQue 3600 be used for geocaching ? Thanks...
