  2. Besdies Geocaching - I am on a competition BBQ team. We compete in KCBS (Kansas City BBQ Society) competitions. The rib rub we use pretty often is called: magic dust and comes from the book : Peace, Love, and Barbecue the recipe is: MAGIC DUST ½ CUP PAPARIKA ¼ CUP KOSHER SALT ¼ CUP SUGAR 2 TBS MUSTARD POWDER ¼ CUP CHILI POWDER ¼ CUP CUMIN 2 TBS COURSE GROUND BLACK PEPPER ¼ CUP GRANULATED GARLIC (OR POWDER) 2 TBS CAYENNE First remove the "silver skin" from the back side of the ribs. Sprinkle the rub covering the meat. (both sides). When it appears wet rub it in - with a messaging method. We have found that a 3-2-1 method works well as a guideline. more of a 2-2-45 min for babybacks. Do a seach for details of this method or check out smokingmeatforums.com
  3. Try contacting Constar... they make them. In Havre de Grace MD the number is 410-939-1500. You may have to save your soda bottle caps for them. You may wish to check with bottling manufacturers in your area to save on shipping.

    New Guy

hI New Guy... I'm new too.... a little to the south in MD... Have fun Caching!!
  6. I am planning my first hide. It will be in close proximity to the fire house i volunteer for. I already have obtained permission from the Cheif and the Captain of the fire company. I wish to place fire prevention items in the box -ie.- wrist bands, pencils the stuff we hand out to children at their schools.... you get the idea. I am waiting on my travel bug to arrive before placing or submitting this hide. I am going to attach it to Our Tower 531 patch and request it travels close to fire companies around the country in rememberance of those who sacrificed all at 9-11. I would also like to include our pamphlet that tells the history of the Susquhanna Hose Comanpy which started in 1902 serving the citizens of Havre de Grace MD. On the listing, can the website be shown? Is this considered out of bounds? This is in now way asking for donations or membership. Just to promote fire safety and be informative. What do you think??
