"Not true. Anything that I write, I can be presumed to own the copyright on. My question is, is there something in the TOS on this site that transfers that copyright to Groundspeak, or is it retained by me?"

I know you're joking, but I still want to point out that this is not how it works. Copyright is a "natural" law, there's no need to declare anything as being copyrighted or to protect it. Whoever creates something new automatically owns the copyright.
The hard part is proving that something is new. Just because you type it and hit doesn't mean it is your intellectual property. If your buddy told you something last night and you post it today, who owns the copyright?

I checked the GCA6 Strathcona Wilderness 1, it is still active.

I'm sorry but Geocaching is a fun, exciting and usually positive game played by many. It looks like they are just using to idea of caching as their plot and then twisting it into their own story. In my opinion it's just bad publicity for a family fun highly respectable game.
I don't mean any disrespect to the movie makers, I am sure they worked very hard to put this film together and it's probably quite entertaining for you horror fans. It's just not for me...
Summer camp is fun, exciting and positive experience. Jason Voorhees hasn't stopped me from going to camp.

Seen at a event/meal this morning. Read carefully.
This sign should be on the inside of every front. It must be followed before going in public.
It all you can do to keep yourself from giving someone an atomic wedgie.

Have you got something against leotards? How about a term that more directly describes the none-cachers. Something like...
GeoTard
That is offensive on so many levels.
How do you know he was born in July?

A good rule of thumb. If you have nothing nice to say...TFTC will do.

Good luck with that.
BTW, the word muggles been around long before Harry Potter.
P.S. This topic come up every few weeks or so.
P.S.S What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
muggle

Didn't think that we would have to make a formal request for souvenirs for Canada....
got me to go to the Feedback site, and try to figure out how to vote, at least.
Canada is the 51st state, you should see your souvenier by October.
Look at the map, we are on top. We are in the works to make the US our 3rd territory.
You know that it was attempted in 1812... it didn't work out so well.
I'm from right by Port Angeles, Washington...
The Pig War also didn't turn out overly well for Canada.
I thought is was the other way around. The quote by Thomas Jefferson that capuring Canada was "a mere matter of marching" It didn't work so well. The US couldn't beat the old brit officers and soldiers. The only truly decisive victory for the US happened after the War was over in New Orleans.

An ammo can with a spent cartridge or shell. It is just coming home.
-
Ummm... what? What on earth would possibly be dangerous about a spent shell?
It's like anything else these days. If a kid sees a spent casing, he might want to pick up a gun and start shooting.
Hide it from the kids' eyes, if they never see thing they won't have impulses. It is easier than teaching them things are wrong.
Let the older kids watch "Cops" and teach them, this is what happens if you do drugs. Don't pretend drugs don't exist and hide everything from their sights.
NO, I am NOT saying it is OK to put drugs in caches.
I am just saying that the shell casing in the cache is not a bad thing for a kid to see. If you need to, explain the safety issues if the child comes across a loaded shell.

One of my attempted hides was rejected due to a puzzle cache. What I thought was virgin territory, there wasn't a cache on the map for almost a kilometer or over 1/2 mile actually was blocked by a puzzle.
The reveiwer was nice enough to tell me the name of the cache that was blocking my cache, the '?' was about 2km away. I had tried to solve this puzzle in the past with no success. Now I was determined.
When I solved it, my North coord was exactly the same. The other cache was 30m west of my placement.
If your reviewer is willing find out which '?' is blocking you and solve it.

It is once again safe to place a geocache in a Canadian KFC parking lot. The Double Down was removed from menus yesterday and Canada is now, according to KFC's own press release, a "Double Down free zone." Hooray for the nanny state.
I would be lost if Dictator Harper wasn't guiding me.
-
Now if it was a Krispy Kreme parking lot with an adult store next door. I'm all over that.

Do a Google search on "teaching scouts geocaching". You can then choose what is best for your group. I took a few different pages and combined them.

The way it was
@#$%^ found Thorold's Klondike II (Traditional Cache) at 8/2/2010
The way it is
@#$%^# found Sea Burn (Not Published) (Traditional Cache) at 11/10/2010
I don't know what they did but it is a little messed up.

Of course, if you're an American trying to visit Cuba, you have bigger issues to deal with.
That is what Toronto (YYZ) is for.

Some of the nicest swag has company names on it. Even the new/packaged McToys are advertising McD's. People out Timmy's cards (ac Canadian thing) for an FTF prize.
People would love to receive a pen or something your cheesy company.

If you sign up for their contest, you get a random coupon in some range, I forget what the maximum is, but its quite a bit more than 20% off.
You can get up to 50% off.
Here is the 50% off code.

If you wanted the less expensive way to do this...
Just watch out for the viscious re-born animals.

For all the Canadians - I think July 32nd, piggy back day should have a souvenir. Stompin Tom is great.
His album even says it should be a souvenir.
As for Leap Day, that would be a good souvenir, once every 4 years.
