  1. To input coordinates from the unit itself, go to the page with the "Mark" function. Select "Mark" and in the screen where it asks "OK?" you will see coordinates on the bottom. Use your up/down buttons to navigate down to the coordinates and select the values you need to change. Once you're dong editing scroll back up to "OK?" and enter. You're coordinate is now saved as a waypoint that you can recall. Recall this from the "Waypoints" screen and use the "GOTO" option to get the GPS to start navigating to it!
  2. Coming from someone who has administered over a forum with over 500,000 members in the past (a gaming website no less, imagine all the needy children!) I'd say that this site has provided more than enough information for any geocaching "newbie" or enthusiast. There is no customized welcome message but for a site like this that's almost impossible to do. As many before me have said the FAQs provide a wealth of information and the community itself is more than willing to answer questions or provide tips/information to any newcomers.
  3. I actually like nanos, although I must admit I have been frustrated by one or two Took me almost 2 weeks to find a black nano right across the street from where I work, and I passed it every time I went looking! It was just so well blended into the area >.<
  4. I don't think that a nano cache should be anything but a "traditional" cache unless there is a puzzle or a multi or some other factor. If it's a plain old "go to these coordinates and look for the cache" type of scenario, then nano is merely the size. It would make more sense to classify a nano as it's own size class, one step under that of a micro.
  5. It's not uncommon for people to practice light swings in areas other than golf courses. A gold ball cache seems like it would stick out though
