The Army wears the reverse flag, Flag being on the right shoulder. I think its fine the way it is, looks real nice Cav Scout!!
  2. Have you looked at the 60c over the 60cs. If your a pilot I can see getting the cs, but for caching the 60c would do fine. I've been looking into a replacement for my Etrex vista and leaning to the 60c over the 60cs.
  3. There are still virtual TB's going around to regular caches. Their tag #'s are usually listed with the bug's name, I had one dropped off in one of my caches the other day if you want to pick it up (GCP4CJ) its yours!

    Mailing Tb's

If you thing Alaska is on the way to Thailand I have to wonder that myself. We have military geocachers here that go to Aisa. Alaska is a lot closer to Thailand than you think!

    Mailing Tb's

Is it improper to mail a TB to help it reach it's destination. My sister-in-law has a TB in MA that wants to get to Thailand, and was thinking of mailing it to me in Alaska just to get it closer. Is this wrong?? or is it anything goes to reach the TB's goal??

    Oifga Coin

I don't have a personal coin to trade but would like to purchase some. Still in the military, closing in on 21 years. HC-130 crewchief (mechanic), combat search & rescue when deployed, Alaska search & rescue in state. Pilots without mechanics are just people walking around with cool jackets and sunglasses.
  7. I live in Alaska, we have big bears and big moose that don't care that we're caching. If I'm going into the woods I'm carrying! I do have a concealed carry permit, but it's not required for Alaska residents.
  8. If you still have the coords in your gps you can put them in the hide & seek a cache and see what comes up. Conifer sounds familiar but I can't find it either!
  9. I don't know about the Vista C, but the Vista has an electronic compass that has to be recalibrated every time you replace the batteries. This can be done on the Vista by the Navigation page using the drop down menu and selecting Calibrate compass.
  10. The Etrex Vista has a electronic compass and has to be recalabrated every time you replace the batteries. This can be done by turning on your GPS (outside), go to the Navigation page go to the drop down menu and select CALIBRATE COMPASS. Follow the directions it gives you, it should work better!

If you have it right now chances are someone put it where you picked it up! Log it and you should be able to find out who had it.

    Jeep Hog

If you look at the Jeep 4X4 owner page of the first 100 white jeeps almost 40 have 0 miles. The jeeps are not being passed around, some are in the TB graveyard (http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?pf=&ID=29352&decrypt=y&log=)
  13. Legends are very good, your accuracy depends on the reception your GPS is receiving. Some people cache with 2 GPSr
  14. Put the last ball on the chain in the clasp and pull the chain to the open hole on the clasp, it should click in.
  15. A good place for them to start would be with the Jeep TB's, that'll keep them busy for a while!!!
  16. I think it's to get the icons on your stats page, the few I've been to have had rare coins like Mou10 bike and Geowoodstock coins that you would never see in a cache, so the owner lets others log them for the icons. It the way it is and sometimes the only way to see these types of items.
