  1. WOW! The number of trackables he has found is going down!
  2. Ok....I was just wondering. I did not have time to go through all his or her logs. I also wonder why people log caches and trackables without finding them. When I was as the Koln Geocoin event in October I got lists from people but also took the time to look at the coins. One guy was passing out a list and I asked where the coins were and he said in they were in his car! I decided not to discover his coins. I also give out lists when I attend event with my coins since they are in plastic sleeves and I don't want everyone taking them out.
  3. Has anyone thought to send him or her a message to see if his or her finds are legit? He or she might have seen it at event where there were many trackables and just now getting around to logging it. Sometimes it takes me months to log all the trackables I see at events. I still have people logging some of my trackables from the Koln Geocoin Fest from back in October.
  4. I meant only to get to the parking location or nearby. Don't need to get back to the Geocaching app since one I reach the destination I will be using my dedicated GPSr. For those without a dedicated GPSr just switch back to the Geocaching App and close the navigation app.
  5. If you use GSAK you can find this quickly.
  6. You can not force me to have an opinion!
  7. You don't HAVE to take or leave anything. I never take swag but I carry some football or baseball cards and drop them in for the kids.
  8. I usually write the person who has it "in their hands" and kindly ask them to log it in the cache so I can retrieve it. If there is no response in a week I go ahead and grab it.
  9. So it IS multi level marketing. NO. Don't put anythiing edible or drinkable in cache. Would you eat or drink something you found and did not know who put it there? Come on man that does not even make ANY sense. When I find candy, tea mixs, kool aid packets I just grab them and throw them away. They draw bugs and animals to the cache and just sit there because most people are not stupid enough to eat or drink something they find in a box.
  10. I did a search and could not find anything on this. I would love to see a new feature for the Geocaching App of opening the Navigate to Cache in the Navigon or TomTom app on my iPhone. This is be great since it would eliminate the need to zoom and unzoom the Geocaching App and thus make driving much safer. There is an app called Geo Bucket that does this but I prefer the Geocaching app. Anyone else think this would be a good idea?
  11. Those are SO SICK that I just threw up a little bit in my mouth! I would love to find one in a cache. I thought about making some myself.
  12. Home of Paradise Lakes!! One of the largest nudist resorts in the world! This could be VERY interesting.... ......OOOPS Paradise Lakes is in Land O Lakes FL but still close!
  13. Why don't you check out an Army/Navy Surplus store? They always have cool container type objects. Look up Surplus store in your local yellow pages.
  14. If your business is Amway or ANY other multi-level-marketing then HELL NO! I would ignore any business cards in a cache and would probably grab them and throw away. You have not said what your product is. If it is useful for geocaching then it might be welcome.
  15. I would like to track all the trackables I have moved or discovered in GSAK. Putting the over 800 I have moved or discovered so far will take forever. Is there an easy way to get all of these into a GSAK datebase? I have a few of the trackable macros but none, as far as I can tell, pull the data down. There must be an easy way of doing this. I wish GS would put a link on our profile trackables page to download a cvs file of the reference numbers.
  16. I also enjoyed Sven's videos but I don't feel sorry for him. I feel sorry for his wife and daughter who not only lost a husband and father but also their home. What selfish thing to do.
  17. This is VERY strange. I have never has a screen problem with my 62ST and all the letters have always worked.
  18. I have contacted the company that I bought the one with the invalid ID. They are sending me two to replace it which is cool because I buy most of my trackables from them because they are the lowest priced. I am gonna hold onto the invalid one as a good luck charm and conversation piece.
  19. Nope. I have the one that was in NY. The person who found it mailed it to me. The original, mine, I have verified is still with the cacher who found it in Germany. I have no idea why the person who got the second one released it into the wild. There was nothing attached to it other than the chain.
  20. As of today I have over 290 trackables activated and I have seen two errors. 1. I released a TB in Germany and it is still in Germany. I got a message from someone in NY saying she found a TB with the same number! I could not believe it but she mailed it to me and sure enough it was the same. It is not the COPY because I still have it. 2. I bought a trackable item from a well known Geocoin vendor and the GC code was invalid. It is ZDXAV. I am not concerned about posting the code here since it can not be activated. I am sure the second error is just a punch error but the first on is a bit strange. I met Joe Friday in Koln (Cologne) Germany at the Geocoin Mega event and he showed me two coins, that were completely different coins, that have the same number. Does this happen often? The company I bought my recent punch error coin from is offering to replace it but I am wondering if it now is a bit valuable for a collection like minted currency errors. Whatcha think? Has anyone else either of these two errors happen to them?
  21. Can you list the coins or their page codes (not the coin code) so we can see what you have to offer? Do you have any photos of the coins? I guess I am one of those that do activate my coin collection. That way when I take them to an event others can "discover" them.
  22. Or contact the cache owner and ask them to encrypt or delete it.
  23. Must have been a very stupid cop if he had to ask where he could download the app for the iPhone.
