  2. Thanks. This sounds good to me. I am gonna claim it. I have only been GCing a few months and learning that most the rules are pretty informal. So I will be as many others and make them up as I go along. Yup...I like being the FTF. To me it is part of the fun.
  3. Gotta question for all y'all..... Can a person FTF a GC before it is published on Geocaching.com? Please see this: http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...9d-274917427f08 You can clearly see that Feldsalat posted his listing for 30 Sept which is two days before the publishing. The FOUND IT note from Feldsalat was also posted after I posted my FOUND IT via iPhone. I believe that I should get credit for the FTF since I was the first to find the cache after it was published on geocaching.com. When I got to the cache I noticed that another GCer in my area had already signed the log and it was two days before it was published on Geocaching.com. If you don't read German the person who found and loged the cache before me is saying that it was published on another website two days prior to being published on geocaching.com. It was published on http://www.opencaching.de/ which is a German geocaching knock off of geocaching.com on 30 Sept 09. Yeah....I know it is really no big deal. But I think it is a bit sneaky. What is the protocol or etiquette for this type of situation?
  4. Go to the owners profile page and then send him/her a message asking when they plan to log the GC in the cache. The owner may be new to placing trackables and not know how to place it. If no reply in a few days I would go ahead and log it as found.
  5. Finding micros or nanos with the iPhone app can be quite challenging since the GPS on them is not very accurate. Take a look at the compass of the iPhone app when searching and it will tell you how accurate you location is. Mine usual says it is within 23 feet. Finding a nano or micro in 23 foot raidius circle can be extreemly diffcult.
  6. Everytime I run a pocket query the results are 0 found. Is there are trick to this??
