  1. Any trackable coin is supposed to say "Trackable at Geocaching.com" somewhere on it. Since that isn't on either coin, I'd guess they aren't, and the fact the cache didn't show any coins and GC.com doesn't recognize the numbers is more proof. Also, I found this post. http://geocoins.net/gcforums/showthread.php?t=1264 If it is a really old coin, then it probably wouldn't be trackable, and the chances of it being trackable with a custom prefix would be even more remote. As a side note, does anyone remember when custom prefixes were first made available?
  2. If you trade any, keep me in mind. They look great.
  3. Same here. I was just refreshing and couldn't figure out why they weren't going online. Decided to check the forums and saw it was all over. I'm not quite sure why I thought it was 5 time zones & not 4 to Pacific, but it didn't really matter; I only got around to looking at the Hogwild e-mail 45 minutes ago, by which time they were gone anyway.
  4. Thanks everyone for the positive comments on my latest coin. I was happy with how it came out. I got my new personal made in gold, copper, 2-tone, and nickel. Once school wraps up a bit more I'll probably start doing some trades, so feel free to check out my seeking list in my sig line. It's a little out of date, but hopefully I'll soon have time to fix that too.
  5. Well, that's all for this cointest. Thanks everyone for playing (and the positive feedback ). Happy Easter, and have a great night!
  6. Hmmm... based on all the people who started guessing 8 metals, it looks like my post to try and clear things up might have confused some. I guess it would have been clearer to say "good research... but wrong answer" since it was only the 2007 metals I was looking for. Sorry for confusion! And it was interesting that I don't think anybody guessed 8 teams before the right answer to both was guessed.
  7. http://forum.atlanticgeocaching.com/index.php?topic=2620.0 or here 3 metals 8 participants You got it! Congrats! Send me your addy and I'll get the coin out to you.
  8. Good research, and I see my question was a bit ambiguous. I am only referring to the teams and metals involved in the 2007 coin, not cumulatively. Since I wasn't specific, everyone can repost immediately without waiting for the 5 minutes.
  9. That's very honest of you; well worth rewarding. Yes, you will receive one. Send me your address and I'll get it out with the rest. Thanks for playing!
  10. Okay, time for the second question. Up this time is a Lunenburg County Cachers 2007 geocoin. The rules are the same. Multiple posts allowed, but at least 5 minutes between posts. The Question: The Lunenburg County Cachers geocoin was a group coin. How many caching teams took part, and how many different metals were made? You must get both numbers right to win.
  11. Since you posted before I got the reply out of a winner, and you guessed what the answer was originally supposed to be, I'll send you a coin too. Send me your shipping addy.
  12. Ding! Ding! We have a winner! And the funny thing is, the number was 69 when I started the cointest, but I got an e-mail notification that someone new had logged one of the caches a few minutes ago. Congrats! Send me your addy to send the coin out. Next cointest starts in 5 minutes.
  13. Someone is relatively close already.
  14. It's been a while since I held a cointest, so I figured this weekend that I should change that. Up for grabs first is one of my new personal coins. The rules: - You must wait 5 minutes between posts - no editing of answers The Question: I have a cache series called Puzzle Street that I began hiding just over a year ago. To date, how many cachers have found at least one cache in the series? Ready, set, go!
  15. When I was a kid my Mom used to boil eggs for breakfast, with (I think) onion skins so they'd be dyed brown. But before we'd eat them, we'd "tap" eggs first. You'd pick an egg that looked like it had a hard shell, then challenge someone else. One person would tap the pointy end of their egg against the other person's egg's pointy end, trying to break it without breaking their own. Then the other person would tap back using the rounded end. If your egg survived intact, you went on to challenge someone else. If your egg was the one to get broken though, it was time to eat it. It's funny that I've mentioned this to a few of my friends, and I don't know if any of them had ever tapped eggs as kids. I mentioned it though when I was in Ukraine last year, and the students there seemed to be familiar with it. Edit because I forgot to say: Happy Easter everyone!
  16. This is a Haiku Wishing a Happy Easter To all coin addicts!
  17. I wish there was a way for a PQ to return all the logs (I was about to ask the same question if I didn't find it addressed already, and here it's being discussed today). I have an achievement geocoin available to people who complete a series of caches I placed, so I wanted to do a PQ on the series and then run a script to see who has logged them all. Only getting the last 5 logs though sort of kills that idea.
  18. Ooooh. Wish I had one of the coins on your top ten. The Great Dane coins have been on my seeking list for some time.
  19. Glad they arrived okay and that you liked them.
  20. You got it! I had hoped to hide more this weekend, but weather got in the way. Send me your address and I'll get the buttons out to you. Thanks everyone for playing! Have a good night!
  21. Yes, it should be. GPX Navigators, please slow down.
  22. Hint #1: It's a 2 digit number.
  23. One guess is too high, the rest too low. Edit: oops, make that 2 too high.
  24. Okay, now the second set of buttons is up for grabs. And here's question #2. Each year, there's a friendly challenge in the Canadian Maritimes during January to see which province can hide the most new winter friendly caches. How many have I hidden so far for this year's challenge?
