i figured out that i have to click off the tick box for zip files and do it " the old fashioned way" can't use the zip feature anymore.

tried the latest update of winzip...no love.

I'M HAVING PROBLEMS OPENING NEWER POCKET QUERIES WITH WINZIP. KEEPS TELLING ME IT ISNT A VALID ZIP FILE. CANNOT UNZIP THEM BECAUSE OF THE SAME BUG. HOWEVER, IF I RUN AN OLDER POCKET QUERY,IT OPENS JUST FINE. ANYONE ELSE ENCOUNTER IT? RUNNING VISTA, WINZIP TO GSAK

how about some more ideas? so far i came up with a scavenger hunt with a beach theme for the non cachers it involves a CITO theme with one of the items being a CITO bag of trash for a raffle ticket...more trash, more tickets maybe geogolf or a poker run. either way a lot of fun.

i pretty much decided to just go with the flow and have a good time. i have a couple of games planned and a scavenger hunt for the non geocachers with a full CITO trash bag as one of the items to bring back, everyone bringing a full trash bag will get a ticket...more trash bags more tickets. no money..none of that stuff, just fun. it looks to be a pretty big event, as lots of people like the beach. you just can't count on anyone to help out...so i will just do it myself

Howdy all, we are planning our first big event in july ( south texas ), and are looking for ways to get donations for door prizes etc. i have put out quite a lot out of my pocket, and that's no problem, but i've been trying to contact coin people and sporting goods people, and no one wants to donate. not even for free press ( local tv might be there ) anyone have any ideas? thanks, HAPPY CACHING

we were wanting to plan an eat and greet in aransas pass ( where we live ) sometime soon. there a few of us wanting to plan a good event in port aransas. sorry. what i mean is, when you go to find the zip code for a town...not just the zip code. there used to be a link to a zip code lookup feature that disappeared when the changes took place.

I sure do like the new features on the pages.... but i also miss the zip code lookup feature when searching for caches. what happened, and is there a plan to place it back ma&pa kettle

is there a way to have the city listed along with the state on the cache page?

It's been my experience that just about anywhere you go there are places that geocachers hide their stash that people don't normally see or get a chance to be near. i live near port aransas texas, and this past year i have seen places there while geocaching that i didn't even know existed! and i have lived there most of my life. most of the geocachers you will meet will tell you the same. the best thing i can tell you is to go with someone and try it out yourself. its fun!!! ma&pa kettle aransas pass texas.
