the differance between Magnetic and true North varys it depends where you are. Here in NM the differance is 11 deg. As far as getting to way point it dosn't matter what you have it on in the set up. The only difference that I can see is if you have the e-trac the arrow in the display will be off some. Not that you can tell the difference. Hope that helped

Hi mookie,
I had the same problem. I bought a Compaq laptop and it does not have a serial port. After much look and reading I found out, you have to buy a docking station. I bought The mobility EasiDock usb 200. No the computer is not very portable. Hope that helps you.
