[Vehicle GPS for geocaching?]

I got the Etrex Vista HCx for USB and SD card and compass

 

it's fine, so far, getting me to the cache.

but when arrived, it can't keep the GPS display facing north, might be cloud cover both days.

but the compass still worked fine.

thinking it through and going to ask my own question about it soon or post up notes about observations.

[Transferring Data for multiple units]

I sucked the tracks and GCC downloaded waypoints out of the Garmin GPS into the std Waypoints manager

 

made up some routes and stuff

and put the routes back

and plugged in the other Garmin GPS and did it again.

 

you need the id and serial to unlock maps

the waypoint mgr isn't checking for licensing. just the presence of the USB GPS
