I haven't took anything from caches because I never get anything good from them! I love hunting for Caches, but the stuff is usually garbage (like a teabag and some plastic coins) Thats why I enjoy micros more. I thought I would like trading because in books it says that it has great stuff like dollars, compasses batteries, water bottles, stickers, but I never get anything that great, I have a bag with hiking gear that I wanted to place, but I never see anything of high enough value to trade it with. When I place my first cache, I'm only going to put nice stuff in it in hopes that other people will putt nice stuff in it.

Can you be FTF if you're not a premium member? The way it makes it sound is that premium members get the new updates and stuff, can a non-premium member be FTF?

today my gps came in the mail (YES!) But i have been trying it out, and i don't understand where i enter the coordinates in? Which menu do i go to?

OK, so i had this idea to put a cache off of the side of a trail that appeared to be a buried animal. it would have a rock that said RIP fluffy or something like that. Their would be a tupperwear or a shoebox buried just so that the lid sticks out and it would be covered with rocks. A geocacher would just move the rocks, sign the log inside and take/give some items, put the lid back on and re-cover the top with rocks. This would be on a trail that goes off of the train tracks so its not a high muggle area. Everybody but cachers would think it was a buried pet. Would this be too much or do you like the idea?

where is the nearest place for me to find geocoins? I live in Auburn California. my house is at 38°54'57.48" N 121°04'07.00" W

i checked online and they have like 5 of those cables for a 9 dollar buy it now, so ill get one eventually

I've been a member for a month now and i haven't had a gps so i couldn't find any caches. But on ebay i just bought my first gps and am ready to get started! Any tips on geocaching or any reviews on that gps? I got a Garmin Geko 201 for $57.50 including shipping. Did I get a good price on it? Is it really within about 10 feet of the coordinates?

I need to buy a gps so that i can geocache. The problem is, i am only 14 years old and don't have a lot of money or rich parents.
