  1. I've also done this using GPS Utility. Just export from excel as a .txt file and you can pull it in to GPSU in that format. Usually works pretty well.
  2. Thanks for the help. I got on aximsite and found out that it was a timing issue. With my combination of software, I need to plug in the gps at exactly the right time. Too early . . . locks up. Too late . . . "no information coming from serial port" message. It seems there is about a 1/2 second window to get it done properly. I'll be testing it some more this weekend to make sure there are no bugs. Thanks again. Mark
  3. Got my STM at Walmart in April '04 and is a d/c 3503. Cracks/bulges visible at 4 lower screws. Mostly used for caching and in car navigating over the past 4 months.
  4. Thanks for the posts. I've tried your suggestions but still no luck. The closest I got was a "flicker" of readings on GPSDash which disappeared just as quick. I'm starting to wonder if I have a problem with my serial port.
  5. I have a Dell Axim X5 and a Sportrac Map that I've been trying to get to talk to each other. I purchased a cable to connect the two from PC-Mobile planning to run Pocket Streets for navigation. Every time I plug the cable in to the PDA it locks up, even immediatelyafter a soft boot. I've also tried using GPSDash with similar results. Does anyone have any experience with this combination of hardware? Any help would be greatly appreciated. TIA Dick & Jane
