  1. How about one of them really cool Microwave blasters??
  2. You sell those? Sheesh! For those who are interested, here are the ones I made that I give away for free: Canada http://www.geocaching-qc.com/images/d/d2/AVDPermitCA.jpg Quebec http://www.geocaching-qc.com/images/4/4b/AVDPermitQC.jpg
  3. Well I dissagree, I thought that's what the star system was for, there are plenty of 5 star caches (or even more extremes, Psyco Caches) out there that I will never do because I don't want to RISK MY LIFE, but that's okay compared to risking a download? Another example of service to the "lowest common denominator", next stop... all caches will be required to be wheelchair accessible.
  4. (A repeat from what I posted on Podcacher.com) I think this seems more about a cache advertising a podcast, than a podcache. For those who might not know the concept of a podcache is simply making a cache that requires the use of an mp3 player in order to find the cache with audio directions.
  5. My Wife says it sort of "Gay Erotico", but I can't help liking this, it brings back memories of my childhood (early 60s) and Ultraman. A younger generation might be more incline to remember Power Rangers from this.

I like Podcacher, they are a great show and can be funny too.
  8. We here like to say that as a joke to people from Texas... "Texas hey? The State so big you can fit three of them in this province..."
  9. Now they will sing a song about you at the begining of every course.
  11. Hey, that sound like something out of "Animal Farm"...
  12. Okay, here is a possible solution for your next event cache, assign somebody to deal with the TBs and coins at the event, they take down the names of those who leave TBs and take down the names of those who leave with them. The list is then published on the event page after the fact. I doubt that this way anybody would be willing to steal or neglect a TB or coin. Something that is possible?
  13. Why hang up the GPSr? Winter just adds to the challenge but not a reason to stop caching, actually one of my pet peeves is when a cache is removed on a weekend for winter, usually the day I am looking for it.
  14. " Do you know where you've been? "
  15. JANUARY 15 2007 N 45° 27.838 W 073° 37.060 Montreal (Quebec) Canada We now have official snow, yes, I said OFFICIAL!!!!! And lots of it, snow here, snow there, snow everywhere, and it's pilling up like crazy... This morning I got up, looked out, and saw green grass, so you can all guess that I left in my running shoes... now I can see the eventual cold wet feet I will have by the time I get home tonight. This has got to be a record of "no snow" for Montreal, I'm sure.
  16. It's true that it makes it hard to see something trackable that small when Garmin can't come up with anything smaller than the Astro 220 to track dogs. http://www.garmin.com/products/astro/ Cool product though, I would like to play a "chase the man game" with GPSrs and this unit.
  17. http://tinyurl.com/y2sd53 here is part of the article: Canadian coins bugged, U.S. security agency says Last Updated: Wednesday, January 10, 2007 | 8:52 AM ET The Canadian Press They say money talks, and a new report suggests Canadian currency is indeed chatting, at least electronically, on behalf of shadowy spies. Canadian coins containing tiny transmitters have mysteriously turned up in the pockets of at least three American contractors who visited Canada, says a branch of the U.S. Department of Defence. Security experts believe the miniature devices could be used to track the movements of defence industry personnel dealing in sensitive military technology. "You might want to know where the individual is going, what meetings the individual might be having and, above all, with whom," said David Harris, a former CSIS officer who consults on security matters. "The more covert or clandestine the activity in which somebody might be involved, the more significant this kind of information could be." The counter-intelligence office of the U.S. Defence Security Service cites the currency caper as an example of the methods international spies have recently tried to illicitly acquire military technology.
  18. Hi there Lover/Fighter and welcome to our favorite sport, I wish I could help you out with a onhand little course but I am a bit far from your location. A good way would be to find a local cache near you and contact the placer of the cache, or look at the logs for local cachers near you and a little email should get you going, maybe even a local cache event, if you have too, you make the event and I am sure somebody will show up.
  19. Woke up to a few centimeters this morning but it was also raining and by the end of the day there was nothing left again...
  20. It's now Saturday, the 6th of January 2007 ... The location is N 45° 27.838 W 073° 37.060 ... In other words, Montreal, Quebec ... W H E R E - I S - T H E - S N O W ? It is currently 6c and raining!!! I have never seen this in my lifetime, we should be having 6 feet of snow by now, LIke a lot of cachers with similar caches, I deactivated all the ones that were not winter friendly a month ago, but now I'm noticing a bunch of cachers are reactivating them since there is no snow out there. Which one of you is hogging all the white stuff?
  21. Une superbe année a tous et chacun, et tous les petits sourires de geocaching que vous desirez.
  22. What new bird has recently gone up that has the WAAS payload? I don't know the details, but I rememeber it being the topic of conversation at the time they dissapeared to be relocated, since at that time our accuracy here in Quebec went down by a magnitude for a few months while they sorted the whole thing out. As for the new question, I will leave it to the next one who wants it. Just say "Yo" if you want it...
  23. A new one went up not so long ago and the activation was pretty recent, some relocation occured with the old ones, and now they are two visible in your area.
