  1. The Vatican City in Rome has two puzzle caches listed, but no caches with an obvious physical presence inside the area.

True. Both puzzle caches are in reality not inside Vatican City (one is hidden very close to the border though) and the traditional is in fact hidden in the city walls (which make up the border), at the Italian side. So in reality there are no geoaches in Vatican City.

  2. I'm fully agree with wildlifeseeker.

since a report on TV the caches are rising on places that have no senses.

I think that a lot af people are trying the game and hide caches averywhere.

The idea of wildlifeseeker to give the permission only on premiummembers or members every six months is good.

So the gamers have some expierence to find before they hide something.

Take a look at this link and surrounding areas

Where is the challenge / adventure in this?????

This trail is MUCH worse and is put out by an experienced PM cacher. ALL 165 are lame micros.

Actually, "your" trail has two parts, a "lame micro" part, and a multi-nightcache part.

Anyway, power trails are becoming increasingly popular here, which is not a good sign.

  3. If cacher1 and me are caching together and we go together to GZ, I will accept co-FTF if cacher1 finds it first.

If cacher 1 and me show up at GZ at about the same time (but we are not caching together), and cacher 1 finds it first I will not accept co-FTF (happened last week)

I normally don't offer co-FTF, unless the other cacher is a friend or relative.

  4. 1) Find a cache on Feb 29th - done

    2) Organize an event - done

    3) Find a cache above 3000 m altitude; if possible above 3300 m

    4) Add two more countries to our list of currently 11

    5) Increase the sum of average Diff and Terrain up to 4.00 - currently at 3.97

    6) Keep the number of Traditionals at less than 50 % of our finds - currently 48 %

    7) More than 25 % of our finds should be Diff or Terrain 3 or higher - currently 28 %

    8) Have 65 out of 81 combinations of the matrix - currently 61

    9) Have fun

  5. Depends on what type of cache it is. A (sub)urban traditional is usually logged within the hour if it is published during the day. If it is published after 21pm it may last until early the next morning. Multi's can take one to two days (depending on the length, difficulty, etc...) and mystery's are variable (depends on the difficulty) from one hour or so up to a week.

  6. I've been to one cache 3 times now with a dnf each time. The reason? High water. Still, I didn't find it so it's a dnf. I can see it but I can't sign it.

For this kind of situations there should be a "DidNotSearch" or "CouldNotSearch" log type.

Why? "Did Not Find" seems to adequately describe Not Finding the cache. You can write several hundred words on why you didn't find it, if you want.

Because to me Didn't Find means "Searched and yet Couldn't Find". If I didn't search, I don't post a DNF. In that case I post a note.
