  1. Etrex Legend it is. I also cleaned up the edges and such. After looking at it again I'm thinking pooh and the GPS should swap spots. Let me know what you think.
  2. Whoops. Sorry about the typo. Feel free to suggest any tweaks you want.
  3. Us too please! If easiet the yinyang could just be made with a splash of GC colors.... How is this? If you like it I can polish it up a bit more.
  4. I've never seen one used on a snake bite, but I've used them on Bee stings and I have no doubt that they work reasonably well. Even if you only get 30% of the venom it's better than nothing, and if you are deep in the woods it might give you the extra time you need to get to the hospital.
  5. We have those too, but we are talking about real cactus, small, but real. The ones near the cache are a particularily nasty type refered to as Jumping Cactus. Their roots grow along the ground rather than downward, and if you step on the roots it flips the cactus up into your leg. Fortunately the spines are not barbed so they don't do much damage.
  6. Unfortunately the image I used was quite small. With some editing I might get it to double the size, but even that will get a bit fuzzy.
  7. Do you have a nice "Welcome to Riddle" sign for the town?
  8. I plan on a similar thing, but more long term. I placed a FTF and a couple of decent trade items in my cache along with the usual stuff. Every month or so I will add another nice item.
  9. Thanks. I don't have drawing talant like AH and some of the others, but I am pretty good at doing a "Photo-Chop" and building layers out of existing images that can then be rearanged and edited to add elements. All I did for Scoob was Google for an image, cut the DQ sign from a post above, flip scoob's paw over, and place a GPS in it.
  10. A bit more expensive, but you can buy fast-degrading toilet paper at camping and RV stores. Regular paper takes something like 4 years to degrade. Not a big deal when yours was the only deposit for miles, but on popular trails it can become an issue. You want a funny peeing story? It's not caching but worth it anyway. Picture 4 teens doing a high-speed 300 mile road trip. Lots of Super Big Gulps, but the driver won't stop. One guy stands up through the sun roof and hangs it out the side. Now image the expression on the face of the hitch hiker who sees this coming.
  11. I've been doing it, but not with super expensive items, just slightly nicer than normal. My last one was a nice small shoulder pack with 4 zipper pockets perfect for caching. I bought one for me and one spare at a clearance sale for $8.00
  12. hydncker I really like your current avatar, but here's something different that would work well as a stamp or coin. EDITED
  13. Hope nobody minds that I kinda ran away with this thread. Even though I'm not nearly as talanted as AH and others I have a lot of fun doing this kind of stuff. I'm losing track...Did we miss anybody?
  14. Glad you like it. The image is some famous carving from a pub near Nottingham. I just added the GPS and made him point his finger.
  15. I had only found 3 caches when I placed my first one, but I had read the FAQ and a lot of posts regarding cache contents. If your area is short on caches then I say go for it. The other cachers in my area have been very happy to see more caches added.
  16. All4OfUs I couldn't come up with anything that seemed to fit all of you, so I went with simple and to the point.
  17. And the stock TJ bumper is any better? one tap and it folds. Now THIS is a serious bumper
