  1. Hi All Sorry if this has been posted before but I have not found it anywhere. I am watching a few TBs to see how they are getting on and if they are getting any closer to me. This got me thinking, can I tell if anybody is watching any of MY TBs?

  3. Thanks for that. Yes I have just started, like you say it is a lot of work but I only have 80 to go. I never knew it had it's own name. Back to the Dipping then.
  4. Hi I have bought a Geocoin and would like to drop and retrive it from the caches we go to. Too nice to let it go into the wild. Is it possiple to log it in and out of caches already visted? As we are only on our 91st cache I thought we had better do it sooner that later. Any guidance would be welcome as how to procced.

  7. Help !! I have managed to get GSAK to change the icons for MM using the macro and when I look at the new csv file they have been changed. I then import the csv file into Memory Map but when I look at the map they are still Blue Dots. How do I get MM to see the new icons. When I check the properties of a dot I can seen ALL of the Caterories but there is nothing in the Symbol field. I have removed all of the symbols/icons I can. There is however, a Geocache icon that cannot be removed. Any ideas please.
  8. Hi When I printed the map page BEFORE the update it would print the map and the "Premium Members Filters:" tick boxes would print to the right of the map. Since the update the map prints as before but NOW I get the "Premium Members Filters:" tick boxes over top the of the map. FYI At least I managed to print out both the Map and the Satellite. Using IE8
  9. Just an update I'm back at work and I still have all the same issues. Screen res here is 1440 X 900 IE 6 Win XP Internet speed OVER 30 Megs both ways. Even though the speed is over 30 megs it still takes 15 seconds to load the "Search for Geocaches" pages. The strange thing is, it all works fine from the HOME pc which is the main thing.
  10. I have Firefox 3.0.15 and the maps loaded fine as they have always done. What is going on?? Seems to work for some and not others. Could it be that there are different servers and some people are using different ones ???
  11. Getting the same error. I continue to get the same error, and it happens every time I try to browse cache listings, whether I am searching from my profile page, or the front page, or if I search for caches by a particular user. When I posted that, I was at work behind a large company firewall, the Internet speed was only around 2Megs where as it is normanly 30Megs + I was using IE 6 and works versoin of XP. Now I am at home I am on Win XP and IE v 8 Internet speed around 3 megs. My resolution is 1280 x 1024 and it is fine. At work it is something strange, not too sure what.
  12. Hi All Well, I have just logged in at home using Win XP I.E ver 8 and all seems to be ok. At work IE ver 6 I had the same problem as many others. 1 No maps like Castle Mischief and overlaping boxes. 2 The log box overlaps the photo on my travel bug's page. 3 No icons on the map pages. No Satellite view. 4 Could not do a search, all I got was page could not be loaded. So, maybe you could quote which OS and version of IE to see if that is the problem. Changed my to
  13. Now 70% of the time I get a popup error box: "Internet Explorer cannot open the site http://www.geocaching.com/seek/nearest.asp...877&dist=25 Operation Aborted" I could have gone out, found the cache and had a beer quicker than these pages load.
  14. Also, on the maps the icon for the unfound caches is blank. I looked on one of my own Travel Bugs page and the logs box over writes the picture. Where is my Travel Bug all I can see on the map is the tracking line, NO MAP. Come on sort this out. Was this ever beta tested. I am using IE 6 at work but will try it at home but I don't hold much hope it will be any different.
  15. IF IT AINT BROKE DON'T FIX IT. Just logged in and I have to agree TOO much white space. What have you done to the maps ??? When I click on a the map from a cache page the map has NO detail, when I select Satellite I get a horrible road map and no sat detail. Also today at 11.45 GMT from the UK it is taking over 1 minute to load a page. Please sort this out as I love geocaching, but if the site does not work I'll just go for a walk.
  16. Hi Happy Hinsons I have added you to my friends The Happy Wanderers 2009 Hope to see you soon.
  17. Thanks for the tips Do you know what the software is called?
  18. I would like to see how far we have traveled whilst Geocaching. One way would be to log a TB or Geocoin in and out of every cache site. We have been to around 70 caches so far and although we could start from today it would be great if we could log the TB into site we have already been to. Could this be done or would we have to go back and do them all again? Dave
  19. All I need to do now is make sense of it all. Thanks Were can I find Roolku's script? The limks seem to be broken. It seems to be a lot of work just to change 1 icon.
  20. All I need to do now is make sense of it all. Thanks
  21. Hi I am using Memory Map to export the maps with the GPX overlays to my PDA. This all works fine except for one thing. Within the GPX file each cache has a "sym" command which say it is either "Geocahe" or "Geocache Found". If it is Geocache then the overlay icon is a small cache box, this is fine but if the cache has been found the the icon is a small blue dot. Now here is the problem, how do I change the blue dot to something else? If I right click on the cache it will allow me to change the icon but I do not want to do this for every cache I have found. As Memory Map has the Geocache icon as an option, where does that come from, I cannot find it within the GPX file. The only thing I can think of doing is to delete all but the two icons I want, the Cache box and the Yellow bouy. Can anybody help please. The Happy Wanderers
