  1. the worst ones are the tiny tiny ones that are so small you can't even feel them. I don't mind the big ones as much because usually i can feel them way before they start suckin...
  2. The email idea would help.... a 4/4 cache would definitely detour them. Make it hard and regular cachers will enjoy it but plundering muggles will probably give up and decide it isn't worth their time. Theres just not much you can do. Even making it a MOC would not keep it 100% safe...
  3. I have a solution.... Lock boxes with a satellite up link to the online database with a finger print recognition and a retina scanner. And for the prime spots there will also be a urine test, and blood test. Bet that will stop the casual thief There is no way around it. I just signed up for premium membership. With that i hope to have new features and options over non-paying members. But even so i could still go plunder a cache if i wanted. My point being people with a grudge would be hard to stop without the above bio-metrics solution. Now i am wondering why i signed up to pay
  4. I am getting ready to place my first cache soon. After reading this I can already see that this is a big problem. Pictures might help... I just don't see what is so hard about putting it back the way you found it. I have only found 3 so far and didn't even think that this might be a problem. Its not that hard to replace it just like you found it. Too bad it only takes one person to mess it up. Then even if every person after that replaces as they found it, it is still same screw up from the first person.....
  5. Well this is my first post on here. I have probably read for 12 hours on here in the last 2 days.. I made my first 3 finds and 1 DNF on Saturday and sunday. This is a lot of fun... I got my Meridian GPSr on friday. I mainly got it for motorcycle trips. But so far i am having a blast caching.... Anyway...I Know I have only been to 4 cache sites ... But i want to make my first attempt at hiding. The only reason i want to do this is because i know of 3 really cool spots that I would like to hide one. Places that some people might not have seen in this area. Hiding apeals to me more in some ways. Here are my questions... How do you hide in tree cover and try to get accurate as possible? I don't want to throw anyone off when i don't have a strong signal. What is the best method for hiding in tree cover? How do people view multi-caches? As in level of enjoyment. There are 2 places where a multi-cache would be perfect for me to hide them. thanks for any input... beau
