  1. i once hid a cache with what i cosidered great stuff. the first cacher that came along took it all! next time i saw her, she had no sense of the injustice of it.

i realize i have absolutely no control over that kind of stuff; but my opinion of her went down several notches.

after 3 years of caching i find myself trading less and less. mostly because there are more and more micros. i try to keep decent trade items on hand. just in case.

  2. i have a small collection of cache items over my computer desk. probably my all time favorite is the tool for making fishing flys. not that i have ever made a fly; but i didn't know what it was when i took it; but i sure wanted to know. here's a picture of my collection...well, maybe there's going to be a picture...now where do i go to figure that out... :D

edit: ooohhh, i think i may have done it!

edit: maybe not. i'll get back to you...

  3. last week while caching alone, i walked up to an area where two elderly gentlemen were seated. i never looked there way directly; but decided not to go down that long, dark path where the arrow was pointing. i made a few notes and turned to walk away when one of the gentlemen said, "you're not going to give up that easily are you?" i couldn't believe my ears! i wheeled around it was not elderly gentlemen; but two friendly cacher acquaintances. goes to show, keep aware of your surroundings or you might be muggled by the muggles that weren't muggles at all!

  4. i figured the good turn out was because it was a saturday night and we could eat. i've been to a gazillion events in the nashville area; but never on a saturday night with food. if i weren't a member, i'd venture to say someone would have urged me to come 'cause nashville cachers are very friendly.

i figure anyone can play this game anyway they see fit as long as it's within the guidelines. i don't always agree with all the choices made; but it's their game.

    note to diablo...

i've been watching your stick since you put it out. it'll probably never make it to nashville now. it's a cool idea. tho.

  5. music will be whatever we bring. the voices i heard at woodstock 2 were the best. i mean it. you guys were great. off key and all. some of you were talented, too. all of you brave...or addicted to geocaching. :P i enjoyed the songs every one.

  6. one actually had a choice to sing a patriotic song or a song from the original woodstock. sbux did a great job with a joe cocker song. a little six year old reciting the pledge of allegiance was endearing. i wanted a little music while we were there. and boy, did i get it. thanks everybody for adding their musical talents to the caching experience.

  7. while i am glad it is possible; and it will be reality one day...i see i will have to give up my watchlist for the good of my trusty computer. you see, i am the reigning "watch queen" in these parts and woodstock will surely be a crash and burn event for watchers such as me without this feature. such is life...i will ;) it when you get to it. thanks so much for your timely response.

  8. could this site create the ability to turn our watchlist on and off? i'd love that feature for high volumn days. with the second annual geo-woodstock coming up 20 miles from my home coordinates i'm liable to crash and burn.
