  1. GC445F is on interstate 40 in tennessee. our local club has this link:Rest Area caches in Middle TN and surrounding areas. well, i'm not to savvy when it comes to linking. it's on the Middle Tennessee Geocachers' Club web site. maybe someone else will make a link for you... sis
  2. a birthday! happy birthday! sis
  3. those mini ammo boxes of habercacher's are great! i want one for my christmas tree! guess i'll have to go caching in texas, huh?
  4. davidson county has it's fair share of cemetary caches. i have "where in the world" and there are several more showing as nearest to it plus there's the rip series by appysgrammy and still more.
  5. since there are so many and such an outrageous variety...approximately where are you staying? where in the world is in a beautiful cemetary... along with several other caches (5, at least) in the immediate area. downtown, the ones around the bridges are awesome as well as "going gibson" (very near interstate)...there are several, several in the down town area. jogps's multi takes you so some interesting sites including music row. bug juice of mossy field (a ways out) is indeed a beautiful walk with a park fee except on wednesday) the traditionals are scattered all around nashville proper (which is why i asked which side of town are you sleeping on). we have a web cam cache near downtown. we have some that tax your mind. you know, the kind you need a "phone a friend" for...some (but not all) have the words "geo mojo" in their title. we're so happy to have you. come and enjoy.
  6. i liked the green lilliputins. that particular one was lost i believe; but it has relatives out there. it was a box with teeny tiny dolls lined up inside. i also like the morphing cache. i wish it would have more pictures made of its' morphs. it's a french curve now, i think. of course, i love my own...brother, happy, the rock from cherry grove. i've seen a couple of firefighter 9/11 tribute bugs. they always sober me.
  7. i started reading this thread and about 1/5 or so of the way in i read snoogans profile. by the time i got to "her name was sacagawea goldstein" i was howling. i enjoy a good laugh from a log (in this case, a profile). so i wanted to send my compliments along. i've gotten a few compliments through the years on "where in the world" (hidden in a beautiful cemetary) or my mcp's (folks wanting to collect my signature item). it does bring a smile when the poeple voice their approval.
  8. pretty good work up when you think...this is a hobby... i like that green t-shirt....i know, i know. order one already. hope you see you there. sis........and "trash bags".
  9. i couldn't get my traveling buddy into geocaching when i went to asheville; but there's this fabulous inn to have lunch...great view with tables on the porch. i think is was called the asheville inn ?? (someone from around there correct me if i'm wrong). we took the elevator (behind one of the massive stone fireplaces) to f. scott fitzgerald's regular room he used each time he came to asheville. rumor has it, he asked for this room each time so he could flirt with the girls coming in...
  10. ooohhh! my bad. thanks, i'll go review the situation. edit: how does a cache know it's small vs. micro? i don't see on the cache page. wondering...again.
  11. my problem is with the first block, "cache type". it is that faint gray color. the rest of the blocks are black and therefore changable. the cache type being faint in color won't allow for change. so it leaves me wondering...how in the world?
  12. i attempted to follow the suggestion concerning changing cache size to small where appropriate. the page doesn't allow me to make an ammendment of this nature. what gives?
  13. i pulled a search; but came up empty. don't know why... back in the summer someone put a note on the south/southeast forums about a tax refund we could get for internet usage. i looked into it. filed my request. ...today i received 114 dollars in adjustments! yahoo! thanks to who ever turned me onto this.
  14. i once hid a cache with what i cosidered great stuff. the first cacher that came along took it all! next time i saw her, she had no sense of the injustice of it. i realize i have absolutely no control over that kind of stuff; but my opinion of her went down several notches. after 3 years of caching i find myself trading less and less. mostly because there are more and more micros. i try to keep decent trade items on hand. just in case.
  15. i think the obiligation is to not keep it or lose it.
  16. i have a small collection of cache items over my computer desk. probably my all time favorite is the tool for making fishing flys. not that i have ever made a fly; but i didn't know what it was when i took it; but i sure wanted to know. here's a picture of my collection...well, maybe there's going to be a picture...now where do i go to figure that out... edit: ooohhh, i think i may have done it! edit: maybe not. i'll get back to you...
  17. last week while caching alone, i walked up to an area where two elderly gentlemen were seated. i never looked there way directly; but decided not to go down that long, dark path where the arrow was pointing. i made a few notes and turned to walk away when one of the gentlemen said, "you're not going to give up that easily are you?" i couldn't believe my ears! i wheeled around it was not elderly gentlemen; but two friendly cacher acquaintances. goes to show, keep aware of your surroundings or you might be muggled by the muggles that weren't muggles at all!
  18. if i can get there. we're gonna have music. trash bag #3 is traveling. sis
  19. i figured the good turn out was because it was a saturday night and we could eat. i've been to a gazillion events in the nashville area; but never on a saturday night with food. if i weren't a member, i'd venture to say someone would have urged me to come 'cause nashville cachers are very friendly. i figure anyone can play this game anyway they see fit as long as it's within the guidelines. i don't always agree with all the choices made; but it's their game. note to diablo... i've been watching your stick since you put it out. it'll probably never make it to nashville now. it's a cool idea. tho. sis
  20. what's the gc number for the sisters cache? curious. sis
  21. that's a 2 for 1 at mill creek's cito. " trash bags #3 is traveling" will be there. ~sis
  22. music will be whatever we bring. the voices i heard at woodstock 2 were the best. i mean it. you guys were great. off key and all. some of you were talented, too. all of you brave...or addicted to geocaching. i enjoyed the songs every one.
  23. one actually had a choice to sing a patriotic song or a song from the original woodstock. sbux did a great job with a joe cocker song. a little six year old reciting the pledge of allegiance was endearing. i wanted a little music while we were there. and boy, did i get it. thanks everybody for adding their musical talents to the caching experience. sis
  24. while i am glad it is possible; and it will be reality one day...i see i will have to give up my watchlist for the good of my trusty computer. you see, i am the reigning "watch queen" in these parts and woodstock will surely be a crash and burn event for watchers such as me without this feature. such is life...i will it when you get to it. thanks so much for your timely response.
  25. bumping this up. less than a week before i've got to delete 'em all or i'm doomed . anybody listening or is this request impossible?
