The Hotdog

I've had mine about two years also and it just started having the problems a couple a weeks ago. It seems mine just needs extra time to warm, after about 5- 10mins it goes away. Could someone explain the code way of fixing it?

here's My 2 cents I think that it is the parents responsilbility to teach their kids what to do with knives such example as in fire the kid is lets say 12-13 and he drops a candle on the floor which has carpet and it catches it on fire a kid that has never been around fire before (ie camp fire fire works bonfire's) would probaly run outside and watch as the smmal burn spot on the floor grow and burn down there house the same thing happens to a kid that has been around fire (ie look above) would probaly stomp it out worry how to cover up the burn spot. knife thing same thing if the parent takes the time to teach the how to use it properly instead of telling the kid not to touch it wich we all know tha when you tell a kid it tabo it makes want it more so he would end up cuttongh himself and maybe even a trip to the emergency room. same thing with guns,fireworks. so the moral of the story is teach your kid why its dangerous and how to use it properly and your kid will be safer. tell the don't do it without teaching why and the kid will learn by trial and erro. because the kid will learn it soon or later so why not teach the kid sooner than later when you are around than when you aren't. when I was at young age I had a little pen knife my dad bought me and taguht how to use it. We had when I was at a young age weenie roast on open fire. I was at a young age taught how to shoot fireworks. I was taught at a young age how to shoot a bb gun and I never screwed up with any of that stuff because I knew what it did and why it was dangerous. So yes I do think taht pocket kinives should be allowed. sorry about the rant.

Hi, I am a life scout working on eagle and hope to get it some time in august after national jamboree. I am also a patrol leader and might become spl, with the elections coming up for our troop, and I think I have a good chance of getting it and btw is anyone else going to national jamboree

with the foretrex do you have to keep it level like with the etrex legend

I was wondering if the foretrex has a map data base on it? and I have read about a little charger for the 201 that takes two AA batteries where can you get them and how much do they cost? could you put maps on them I,m thinking you can't but does any one know for sure

for me I got one of these Yukon HL It has a 1-watt led wich is just as bright as a mag-light 2AA but it also has a three leds wich are brighter than normal leds it is my main light when I am camping but I am Thinking about getting theEOS for a back up light or to just keep stuffed in my pocket for times that I wont need a light on for long and I don't want to keep one on my head for fear that it might come off while not in use

well, I don't Own a kayak but I have played in them when ever a chance arises and I have also been on a whitewater trip even though we only did class 1/2's and maybe a class 3 but with that I was also doing the whitewater meritbadge for boy scouts so they did teach us about kayaking and how to do wet-exits (flipping and exiting with sprayskirt on) and heres my advice if you are geting a sit-in kayak make sure the cockpit is big enough because during the classes I had the kayak was newer big enough so I could get out ok but when we did the trip I got a older model with a small cokpit didn't it at the time but when we did the first set of rapids it was i am pretty sure it was a class 3 but when I went down it I didn't line up straight enough so I flipped on the very first rapid and there was about maybe 10 rapids in the set so when I went to exit did every thing they taught us and my legs get stuck inside so here i am going down the rapids upside down under the water think I was going home in a pine box......................huh how did I get on my side oh well maybe I can ride the rest of the way down like this so when i get though they can get me out of this thing......................whoa how did I get out of it? picture rapid..............oh yes I am Out Of it Oh look Here's My Kayak scoutmaster paddles up helps me tow my kayak to shore I trade with another scout for a open top make the rest of the trip and make it home not in a pine box thank goodness will I do it again Yes Do I still want a kayak Yes Does my dad still says no Yes Do I have A model I want Yes it is a ocean kayak drifter big enough to go on weekend trips and it is a open top so self bailing. yes this is a true story

Hi, how about one of the avatar masters create a thread thats all about tips and tricks for avatar creation I would but I the best I can do is the pic 3 post a above I think It would be better if someone would be telling the tips and tricks instead of asking for them anyway just a idea that would help take some of the load off here.

You're not going to come close to getting all of Texas on your Legend. 3-4 big counties is more like it the trail is not on any map because, it is a trail in a scout camp. I Am planing on hikeing it while I am helping cleaning it up we took our troop on it not too long ago and the trail was over grown and going through the top of a downed tree but we hiked it any way and it turned out to be a very nice trail except the bushwhacking

How Do You make avatars and what software do y'all use?

How do you make those? they are so cool. I don't have any pics of mine but I Make little lanyard key chains out of different colored craft lace. useful if you drop your keys while caching, even helps to find them in your pocket/purse

I am a active scouter life in rank and yes I can belive someone would do that but there are a lot of good scouters out there. I am one of them. I think alot of the bad apples a forced into scouting by their parents who think bsa stands for baby sitters of America

I will be going on a really nice trail that I would like to see this trail on the gps as a trail I know that the etrex legend has maping ability but how do Ii use it to map a trail other than have it as a track? and how many topo maps will fit on the legend? I am useing map source and would like to put all of Texas on it.

if I were to go night caching I would bring one of these suckers flash light if it was in the sticks. havent been night caching yet, but love running around at night in the woods got to love walkin around in the woods where nobody knows where you are . my flash lights of choice are princeton tec yukon hl headlamp, backup led flash light and maybe a maglight and extra batteries. if you don't want anybody to find you dress in black wear a black head mask and a pair of eyewear of some sort that is comfortable and call your self shadow and talk in a high pitched voice
