  1. Nice timing...I'm down home Easter 2010, so this will be a pleasure to rock up to Easter 2010 trek Brisbane - Narrandera. Will rock over to Wagga Wagga (dja ngura - my birthplace), then back to Brisbane. TBs welcome to enjoy the ride. Thanks for organising this event cheers...Suze
  2. Please don't avoid TBs because of these odd people. Us nice people 'appreciate' others moving TBs for us when its convenient - not when we prefer. I think its very admirable to have hobbled to a cache to pass it on. Me? Under such duress...I would have tossed it in a bin and emailed the coordinates of the landfill to the owner. Shock can snap people out of hysterical states
  3. Ahuh - I feel similar and I haven't even started yet I've read many logs and noticed a few MIA TBs and Geocoins - and yep I thought ohh the last logger saying they'd found the trackable must still have it. Then I read what a muggle was! The answers here have been helpful. We have a few TBs to send forth as a novelty. So we'll keep them compact to move around small caches; and won't set unrealistic goals. If they move anywhere - its an entertainment bonus. If trackables go missing in action I can imagine young children being upset, but adults should set the example that getting out into the environment is the true value of involvement. It's been nice to read descriptions of beaut places in people's logs, and thanks to those who also add photos.
  4. Hiya, I'm a geocaching newbie, but I spend a bit of time in the field collecting data (environmental scientist). You're right...people ignore me and get on with their business when I start taking photos of the environment and writing notes...especially if I start panning my camera in their direction So I'm counting on the same sort of reaction whilst caching. Maybe I'll use my dog Shea for cover on caches close to home, but I can't suffer her in the car with me on an away trip...she always insists on driving...and its just not a good look with a 60kg Irish Wolfhound at the wheel of mah 4x
