Last October I won a Free 1 year Membership Certificate. My membership expires soon, so I tried to redeem it. After a few failed attempts I emailed HQ asking why it didn't work. Their reply was that it had expired and nothing more. I sent them another email explaining that they did not write an expiration date on the certificate. How was I to know it would expire ? I also included a photo of the certificate with an empty expiration box. So far I've heard nothing from HQ? I'm writing this in hope that someone in HQ will see my concern and do something soon. My premium membership ends Monday.

How are people getting a 4th AL if they currently have 3 active labs?

Wrong, it's not fixed. I tried logging off and on and now I can't log in at all. I only get the spinning wheel of death? Now I can log back in. However your map problem is still there. Please fix it.

Please don't assume, I never said priority. I just asked for a little consideration for many hours of work and thought that goes into creating interesting hides that get awarded favorite points.

HQ required 20 + favorite points to qualify, yet favorite points weren't considered. At almost 3000 favorite points, I get no virtual award.

Nope, nothing. Sad HQ doesn't consider someone with 3000 favorite points worthy of a virtual. A lot of time and work goes into creating interesting hides.

Looking at the above pie chart - Global distribution of Virtual Rewards Caches 1.0 and 2.0.: You can see U.S.A is allotted only 15% of 4000 virtual caches (600). This leaves 3400 for the rest of the world. I'm guessing there are more cachers in the U.S. compared to all other countries together. At 600 our chances here are very slim.

Interesting, I didn't catch that one. They may have changed requirements without the reviewers knowledge? I don't think changing requirements after publication is allowed. That and D/ T needs to be looked into.

This challenge https://coord.info/GC1P2N3 has never been completed and logged as found. It was published almost 13 years ago and is listed as a 1 1/2 difficulty and 1 1/2 terrain. Will this challenge this ever be completed ? If it takes 13+ years to meet requirements, not many will.

Money Money Money, it's about cash. HQ want's you to use a phone for caching. Apps generate income. If labs were added to the map you could generate a PQ and use your trusty garmin. Oops, I might have said a bad word.

I some areas the terrain is judged by height from level ground. A magnetic cache placed 15ft up a lamppost could be a 4T. Whatever the hider rates it, is what it is.

Is there anyway to know the number of caches hidden for each state ? Yes, I know the numbers continue to change with additions and archiving.

It's important to hide only Official Geocaches.

Getting a premium membership is the easiest and best way. You'll be surprised at all the fun you're missing.

Five days and no response from HQ ?

Pokemon Go and geocaching are two different activities and not the same. I search for real tupperware in the woods not imaginary things.

We in the north don't hibernate in the winter. We might slow down a bit, but we do get out and satisfy our geocaching itch. No bugs or poison plants to deal with. Winter is the time for island caches if you don't own a boat. I've cached in sub-zero weather and had fun. Those living in colder climates know how to handle winter and enjoy it.

I've been stopped many times usually at Welcome To signs small and large. I always cooperated with law enforcement and explain our activity. Most know about geocaching and a few want to try themselves. After learning everything is okay they'll say have fun or have a nice day. Law enforcement is just doing their job and I'm thankful we have them. Remember our activity is a legal one and you shouldn't be afraid to have fun doing it.

Some people have an expanded view of what they think is their property. Or, maybe you got to close to their moonshine still.

It's been at least an hour. Any updates on this? Should have been a quick temporary fix considering they fix the same problem at least once before.

Hopefully they do a permanent fix this time.
