-
Please send me e-mail by my profile. Thanks

I'd love to send you an email as per your instructions, but I can't find an actual email address and writing to you through groudspeak will not allow me to add a subject line. So I'll send you a message that way anyway and hope for the best! Good point. I modified my original posting. Thanks.

Each year for the Halloween, I place a special cache in my area. I used Halloween 2004: The Lost Cacher as an inspiration for my first Geocoin. The coin is 1.75” with Black nickel finish. It is a limited edition of 100 with white letters and an ultra limited edition of 11 with red letters. Trackable at geocaching.com. Limit of 1 coin per cacher no exceptions. I will not mint an other run of this coin. It is your opportunity to get it right now. I have 35 coins with white letters for sell at $9 + shipping. Shipping fees: Canada: $1.75, USA $2.50, International $4.25. All prices are in US funds. Send me an e-mail with “Purchase Lost Cacher Coin” at the top of the message. Please include the following in the message: Name: Caching Name: Address: Paypal e-mail: I have 25 coins with white letters for trade. I want to trade them for your own personal coin only. Send me an e-mail with “Trade White Lost Cacher Coin” at the top of the message. The coins with red letters are for very special trades only. I currently have 5 available. I will only consider very limited edition coins or old and rare ones. Send me an e-mail with “Trade Red Lost Cacher Coin” at the top of the message. I will process the coins for sell and the trades of the White coins on a first come first serve basis. For the red coins trades I will wait a few days and take the best offers. I will do my best to ship the coins this weekend.

People like it. Each year I put up an Halloween cache: Halloween 2004: The Lost Cacher Halloween 2005: The Blair Road Witch. As a companion to these caches, I started to place caches based on well known haunting stories: Haunted Ottawa : the Bytown Museum Haunted Ottawa 2 Haunted Ottawa 3: Chateau Laurier Haunted Ottawa 4 -
I found a great location this morning. I will submit the cache today or tomorrow: Ottawa East Geo-Post. I used a cal 50 amo can. Inside the can I have a Lock&lock container for the postcards. They will stay nice and dry
-
I will try to find a good location on the East side of Ottawa, close to the 417, this weekend.
-
I just purchased one this morning. I hope more people will do it. Cool concept. Will see if mine will make it back to Ottawa
-
Received your tokens + postcard today. Looks very good . Thanks for the trade.
-
Are all the invoices out? I didn't received mine yet.

Interesting. Do you think that the offer is now greater than the demand? Is it too late to get a personal coin out? I just designed one and I am almost ready. I am starting to wonder if my timing is bad. JF&C

I think cost is also relative to where the coin comes from. I am interested to have a trackable coin and sell some of them so I can have a better price per unit. Looks like a production of 250 units gets the cost per coin at around $5.00 each. But as a Canadian I am at a disadvantage. When I will receive them I will have to pay 15% for the taxes. An Canada post rates are fairly high. For a parcel under 100 grams it cost $1.78 to ship to the US. And between 100 and 200 grams it is $3.00. Add PayPal fees and envelops and my cost for the coin with shipping is around $8.00 at a minimum.

The Last Team [d]22 Sterling Silver Quahog Geocoin

Like you, I decided to cast my own coin. I fully understand the hard work necessary to produce it. Mine are not as pretty as yours. I think if you give me your last one, it will inspire me for my next one -

I just completed the casting of my first signature tokens. They are the size of a quarter and made of lead free pewter. -
Hi, Normally there are 2 Go and Get Em Events a year (spring and fall). A month before the event, the organisers post the details. If you receive a weekly notificaton of the new caches in the area, you will get all the info required. It is a lot of fun to attend and you will meet a lot of people on the trails and at the dinner on the Saturday night.

I am interested. Unfortunately, I am close to two gates: 400 miles from P4079 and 290 miles from P4271. If I am not able to join the network, I would be interested to set-up something similar across Canada.

Some finds on my cache; Halloween 2004: The Lost Cacher.

In Ottawa, Zartimus has the best ones. Have a look at his Attack of the Squirrels GCKFWZ []

I just released the TB “Canada EH!”, TBHPWE, in the “La Valencia Travel Bug Hotel (View #1)”, GCH4AE, San Diego. It has a special mission; to comeback home Ottawa, Ontario. The bug itself is a note pad for cachers to document its adventures. We will see how long it will take to come back. I know it is not the first bug with a similar mission. How successful the other ones have been?

Hello San Diego, I visited your sunny town last week. I only had the time to find a few caches. I took the opportunity to release my new TB “Canada EH!” TBHPWE in the cache “La Valencia Travel Bug Hotel (View #1)” GCH4AE. Its goal is to go back home to Ottawa, Ontario. It also has a logbook to document its trip. Hope it will start to get moving soon.

In My area, Zartimus made The Voorhees Cache GCKYKY. That's a cool one.

Halloween is coming, come and visit my Halloween cache: GCKPA8 “Halloween 2004: The Lost Cacher”. At the same time, you may want to say hello to a lost droid that has been sighted in the area.

Moule, Congratulation for your FTF. I suggested long pants because there’s some poison ivy in the area. Thorin, Your brute force approach is possible, but it will take longer than using the GPS. There are a few multi-trunked trees in the area and the tall grass section is fairly large JF

Hi, My first cache, Ottawa River 1:Remic Rapids (GCKB4E) has been approved. Who will be the first to find?
