Ooooh.... I don't know about this one. It looks like a very cool cache, but unless I'm missing something here, you are also posting a serious spoiler on somebody else's (active?) cache. My post has been revised so as to not spoil a hide.

Of course I think all my cache containers are "cool" ,but here is one I am came across a week or so ago and liked very much!! And then found and "opened"... This was in Western North Carolina.

is this like a Joke or something, I'm not dripping with $$$$ but a AMMO can costs about $4.50 here and that's the 50 Cal Scubasonic I got my first Ammo can today at the cost of $8.00......not as bad as I was expecting...thanks to all above with your help...

Let's see some pictures. I have thought about doing one in a light bulb but I have yet to figure out where to put it. My fear is that someone would come along and replace it with a working one. Unfortunately I have no pictures for you.....sorry. It took me awhile to find just the spot for my bulb,...but soon enough it came to me!! I am happy with it. Just look out when you are driving to and from work as I do and look for that abandoned house,unused lighted sign etc. I lucked out with mine and placed it with permission on a spot of land that has a un-operational antique store on it.

I made one out of a lightbulb!! It is a log only but hey,....it isn't your normal cache container!! Just broke into the end a bit,pulled out the wires and ended up with a hollow spot to put a log!!! Placed it yesterday and got listing published today!!

Thanks to you,....I found a surplus store around 15 mins from me in Morganton!! Will check out tomorrow and see what the damages are for a can and while I'm at it I will do some geocaching!!!

Hoping to score one for free,....after seeing the prices for ammo cans on Ebay!!! I got shocked by the prices so I resorted to throwing up a post for one. If there really that cheap,...I'll get one for you and me both!!

Thanks for the reply,...I used to be Army reserve,...I should just make the hall to my old battalion HQ's and see what I can drum up,.....not quite sure what army surplus stores are around for me??? Thanks for "knocking the dust off my brain"!!! I should have thought of these options before ....

It seems that almost every cache site I go to I run into this wicked plant!!! But thankfully I just get a few bumps on forearms and legs......nothing to write home to momma' about. It is irritating but further proves the dedication we cachers have to knowingly go out into this mess time and time again!!!

Hello,I know this a long shot.....but was wondering if anyone in the Nebo,NC or decently close vicinity, would be willing to donate a ammo can or two to me???? I have a great idea for a cache but don't have the funds to buy a ammo can!!! This seems to be my new "vise".....I have tons of ideas for cache spots,cache containers etc....but not the $$$$ to get them put together!!! I know all of you guys have paid for your cans but maybe this post will hit the screen of a cacher that is maybe "stepping out of the game" Thanks alot for any forthcoming posts on this issue!!
