  1. ...or if you're me and you see a couple obviously just finished with a cache you let them go on ahead so your cache hunt isn't spoiled. Then you find their name on the log. Then when you see them at the very next cache, you come about 50 feet from them as they're peering out of the corners of their eyes wondering if a muggle is coming and you call out their names like you're long lost friends! I met the loveliest people doing that and we found that next 5-star-difficulty cache together!
  2. I sure appreciate your feedback, guys. Thanks so much! Anybody else who has something to add, I'd appreciate your thoughts as well! TY!
  3. I've got 90 odd finds. Something new and enchanting happened last week while searching for a cache. The coordinates would not settle down. There were some trees, the sky was by no means covered. Felt like the gps was leading me on a parade! Happened again yesterday. No trees for hundreds of yards. Same thing. Is there a candid camera following me or something? Just happened again tonight, several trees, but hardly a covered sky. 6 feet away one minute was 60 feet away on another pass. Spent 40 minutes and the gps would not settle and agree with itself as to what coordinates were where. Different numbers all the time. So frustrating! Does anyone have words of wisdom as to why? Time to buy a dedicated gps instead of using my blackberry??? Is this just the law of the gps land and I'm fortunate it hasn't happened sooner??? Thanks so much!

    Multi cache

Hi Yo Gabba Gabba! I have a three-year-old in da house.... Anyway, the multi-cache is a TYPE of cache! Other types are the traditional (single), mystery, earth cache, event cache etc. After you find all the waypoints that make up a multi-cache and you reach the final coordinates and make the final find, that's when you can log it as a find. (You'll see the multi-cache symbol as two boxes, whereas the cache symbol is one box.) A series of caches are several traditional caches. Such as, I don't know, uh the "Twinkie" series. There may be 5 different caches in the Twinkie series and each would be a find that you'd log when you found them. To finish the series you'd simply have to find all 5. Does that make sense?
  5. I'm in the free 30-day trial period of CacheSense (formerly known as CacheBerry) and I'm liking it so far! Was using the free app Blackstar to find 70 or so previous caches -obviously with great results. So I'm trying CacheSense because it offers the ability to see the web pages information in a much more user-friendly format. It's great that they offer the free 30 day trial period so you can use all the features and decide if it works well for your needs.
