  1. There is a god! go to "updates" on your palm (it is a little gift box icon) then search for updates. The new geocaching update has arrived and it fixes the problem. So no more "unable to log in" notices.
  2. I downloaded this directly to my phone then when I tried to open/install it, it said unknown file type. Please help!
  3. I did this one awhile back. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...7c-84281af6bdd6 It is cool but takes awhile. I have to wonder why dead goats like this cave so much. My brother owns a little coffee farm outside of Kona. He is a geocacher and offers free tours. www.konaearth.com
  4. I placed a cache in Colorado, USA almost a year ago and it hasn't been found. That is nothing like the caches mentioned above but the ironic thing about mine is it is very accesible and only a 9 mile hike. I can't belive it still hasn't been found. (where east meets west) GC15RM0
  5. Are you going to be hiking or do you want urban caches. In my mind there are two very different types of cachers here. Most of my caching takes my up a mountain. There are some great ones, if it is urban caches you seek I won't be much help because I'm afraid of muggles so avoid ones in public places.
  6. If the travel bug mission sheet was about an inch shorter it would fit perfect in a standard size ziplock sandwich bag. This would mean that we wouldn't have to fold them and when cachers or muggles came across them it would be easier to see what it is and what its mission is. I think it would prevent some wear and tear on the log sheets too. Just a thought.
  7. That is so simple I didn't even think of it. Thanks
  8. I travel a lot because none of family lives near me. When I go visit them I always bring my GPSer with me. However I have to reenter their coordinates each time I get there. I would love to eble to have a couple of "home corrdinates" to choose from. This would also be good if you commuted to work this way you could search from there or from your home. I realize that many cachers have cooler GPSers then me and can plug them into their computer but little old me has to enter them in by hand.
  9. I have read about all the things that you get when you become a Premium member and the one thing that would really get me to do it is the map zooming and scrolling feature. I would love it if there was a way to try it once before you signed up.
  10. You are most likely seeing the box on the map of Georgia and think that that must be the only zoom option. You can click anywhere on the map and it will zoom in. I live in MO and he has the whole state divided up into parts that you can zoom in on but there is only a box around St Louis and Kansas City. Here's Colorado Springs: It doesn't zoom in more than that. In case you think that's a fluke, here's Denver: If I can't zoom in any more than that in the largest city in the state, especially when that map usually displays 1000 caches, then the site is useless to me. For comparison, here's roughly the center of the Colorado Springs map using just plain 'ol geocaching.com maps: That makes more since.I use it for rural areas so haven't run into that problem I would love to see a website that worked with mapquest.com or the like. Where you could type in the from adress and the to address and then a route and geocaches along that route would come up. THat is how I cache. I'm a travling cacher, I guess you could say
  11. Does it have roads? Tell me more. I haven't become premium yet because I didn't know how well the maps were
  12. I just want to be able to use a good map. I live in a rural area so I have to drive about 40 miles to get a cache. I like to make a day of it and I used Buxleys because I could follow a road and print of caches on the way. I don't have any real problems with becoming a premium member but I would like the oppertunity to try out there maps before I pay. I have heard good and bad things about them so would feel more confident if I can experiance them for myself.
