  1. Thank you for your help. Message sent.
  2. Does anyone know the cacher who goes by the name of "vix91008" ? I'm trying to track down a missing TB which was handed to this cacher in Nov 06. Cheers, LeeCee.
  3. The following are surplus to requirements: Magellan GPS 300, also known as the Pioneer. It's about 7 years old but very good condition and still boxed with the manual. Not perfect for geocaching due to only 2 digit decimal precision but fine for walking and outdoors as it'll do OSGB nicely. Fugawi UK 1:50000 digital mapping for Northern England and Central Scotland. Not the very latest version but works fine on a laptop or Palm PDA. If anyone's interested please contact me privately through my profile, otherwise they'll be on ebay from Monday.
  4. As you've downloaded Cachemate you'll have the EXE file sitting on your PC somewhere. Don't attempt to open it - you need to start Activesync then click the Explore button, and manually drag and drop the EXE file from your PC to the Pocket PC. Once you've done that, start File Explorer on the Pocket PC and find the file you just copied across. Open it using File Explorer and it will install Cachemate to the Pocket PC for you. You don't need to purchase the software to open it, but you'll be limited to a demo version of I think 10 caches unless you shell out the money, but it's pretty cheap and well worth it in my opinion. Hope this helps.
  5. Oh joy. Another long thread totally unrelated to Geocaching. Please keep them coming.
  6. As you're a premium member, why not run a pocket query with say, 15 mile max radius of KL ?
  7. I used to enjoy reading the forum but I think it's gone downhill over the past year or so.. I think a lot of the topics now are so banal and unrelated to geocaching that it's hardly worth logging in any more..
  8. Well done Ian - wouldn't want your mobile bill though
  9. Does anyone know the cacher who goes by the name of Unowho67 ? If so, would they be kind enough to ask him (or her) to release my TB which has been held since October ? Many thanks, LeeCee.
  10. Well done Oliver & Alex - a great achievement!
  11. If one of them is not a million miles from me, I have to agree. Could have been there and back by now
  12. Might as well lock this topic.. looks like it's another one going nowhere.
  13. I'm curious to know if anyone has successfully configured Skype on their PPC and managed to talk with other users running the desktop version ?
  14. I might be up for it if someone could tell me where it is ? Street please ?
  15. Congratulations on hitting 200 at Lidwell Chapel last Friday.. well done !!
  16. That sounds good.. any chance you could post it somewhere or even better email it to people ?
  17. Problem solved now, thank you.
  18. Does anyone know the cacher ve6dave ? I am trying to get my TB released which has been held for quite a few weeks and without any replies to my emails. He is a regular visitor to the website and last logged on yesterday. Thanks, LeeCee in UK.
  19. <SHOWOFF MODE> Er.. I do mine in one go with one click of the mouse. Contact me privately if you'd like to know how. </SHOWOFF MODE>
  20. We can see it was meant as a joke, but there are other forums on this website for posting off topic stuff, such as here: Off Topic The thing is, if everyone chips in with a reply or anecdote, the threads end up miles long, usually completely irrelevant and of no real use to anyone wishing to discuss Geocaching. Edited to add link and correct spelling.
  21. Oh for goodness' sake.. enough of this c**p. This forum is to talk about GEOCACHING.
  22. You can't go wrong with either an Etrex Camo or Etrex Yellow. Both essentially the same but the Camo is usually quite a bit cheaper. As Rutson said, Expansys is a good, reliable supplier of both units.
  23. Interesting concept but surely if the little lad's out caching with you, it's up to you as a parent to keep an eye on him and make sure he doesn't wander off in the first place ?
  24. Another useful thread. How exciting.
