  7. on the GC webside on the left you have Hide and Seek, click this and the bottom of the page right hand side are cache notes, select size and language and then print. easy as that..
  8. i have been useing these for a while but am about to change to a new one as the colour runs when they get wet: taken at an Earth cache: on one side as you can see is my avatar, on the other it says Dave.In.Deal TFTC #XX (#XX refering to my actual find count)
  9. My Personal Tracker, i keep in an unpublished cache at my home coordinates. then every time i go caching, i remove it from there dip it into every cache i go too and then back into my unbublished cache. This means that its not calculating the mileage just between the caches but also the mileage that i travel too and from the cache, here is the tracker: TB2X4H0 - Pure. Color personal tracker ** and yes i back dated the visits for every cache that i done befor the coin arrived** and here is a screenshot of the map (slightly out of date now):
  10. I have always seen sig items as something in the cache to take.... no need to trade My latest sig item say " Keep Me or Trade Me " on them.
  11. I have leanet the hard way about HTML code, befor i started cache i knew about it and that if i clicked view source on a webpage it showed it to me but that was it. when i started caching and saw some pages with poictures and different colour font that stood out I started to learn using a beginners guide, Now i just do it, i think it was a great learning curve and now appreciate the cache listings more, with very little effort a cache listing can become considerably nicer and give 10 times more information then the standared paragraphe or so of plain text I dont see why more listing dont feature, HTML code with pictures and coloured text I Could always offer a HTML code service for a small fee i turn your plain cache listing into something wonderful with pictures and fancy text.....................
  12. I never trade when im out on my own, but i do when Mini D.I.D is with me (4yrs old) and he normaly grabs a "Treasure" while im filling in the log, normaly its some kind of plastic toy that has taken his fancy and i normally replace with one of his previous toys that he stopped playing with. But i do drop a sig chip into the caches (if they fit) which can be keeped or traded.
  13. OMG now i know what it is its stands out from the other side of the room, i think i was trying to look too deeply and saw them a bunkers, or land train or something.... but now
  14. im am here purly for the fun and not the number's if i reach a cache i sign the log, in the rare case that my pen dont work or its too wet to sign, i take a photo of the cache container and a landmrk in the area that the CO cannot refuse to accept as i was there and had the cache in hand. but as for my caches (14 hidden and 3 archived) , i have never checked the logs, If you have faked the find, good for you hope you happy and brag about the amount of smileys you have. If you found it and didnt sign, hope you enjoyed the hunt and for taking the time to let the rest of us know its there safe and sound.
  15. Do you mind if i adopt a smilar item for my swag ?? i have been using poker chips with a printed lable but they run at the first sign of water, these are way coller and personal. I only have a few issues, here in the Uk i have not found anywhere that sells shrinky dink unless i pay extorsonate shipping across sea, but here is the simple answer that will save everyone money and help the enviroment, during my search i discovered this (taken from curbly and snipped a little): the second issue i have is that the only Polymer clay i can find is FIMO which on feE-Bay is £2.00 for 56g ($2.85 for 1.9oz) then i have Postage on top of that. but have found this alternative: cold-porcelain / Polymer Clay
  16. i use these two websites for my initial setting up of a cache. first with give you the decimal loat long , to give you a good start for setting up your cache page: Lat Long finder you can view it as map, satellight, of hybrid and can zoom into streat level with very accurate coordinats. The second once i have visited GZ and got the pinpoint location i use this to find out the distance to any other caches/ closest parking etc. distance between to coords and if you need to do the conversion between decimal and DMS cords i use this page decimal to DMS
  17. wow a big change........ can i ask what was wrong with SDewer????
  18. i take it your refering to the strange eifle tower like object in the centre, ive had a look around and not quite sure, rocket tower, oil drilling, communications tower ???? not quite sure..
  19. these are realy cool, what have you used for the centre with your cache name on them, and how is it attached (any chance for it to drop off)
  20. how do you go about asking a countie if you can use a coat of arms?? these are not family coat of arms they are counties
  21. I recently come accross a good website that showed all the "Coat of Arms" for all 86 counties in the UK it got me thinking - who whould be interested in there own countie coin - rough number crunch will be about £8.50 per coin trackable with icon with probably a max run of 25 per countie (23 LE + 2 AE one for me and one for a 1 of a kind complete set to be bidded off possably for Ch**ity) coins would be 38mm x 3mm antique silver with AE being antique gold Please post your counties number and if interested 1.
