  1. I'm trying to import an Ozi wpt file into GSAK. The first way I tried was to convert the wpt file to a txt file. However it seems that GSAK only opens loc and gpx formats. Any ideas?
  2. I also don't have a full blown blogging site, however, my Geocaching content is growing. I just added an interactive aerial image to my site at http://www.icenrye.com Those from the Edmonton area may recognize the look of my site. Powered by Mambo!
  3. Anyone have any idea what's happening to the toporama site? When I search on google, I get this. Click on "Topographical Maps" Then on the left side menu click on "Map Search". then click on "Clickable Maps of Canada". It takes you to this page. Once you click on your province and area, you get a chart of map titles and a list of places to purchase the maps. This change must have happened overnight. I was downloading maps last night to use in OziEx. Any ideas???
  4. Thanks for your sugestion. I'm playing with QT now, however I'm getting huge (300 meg+) files. This is with a 360 - 240 picture at 15 fps, mpeg4 compression and 32 bit mono audio! The divx file is just short of DVD quality and is 125 meg. If you have any tips on qt encoding, please let me know.
  5. I have some pictures. Check out my gallery and let me know if there is anything you like. I can send hi-res pics to you or upload them to my ftp server and you can download them. Also you may want to take a look at this or this. Feel free to use anything from this video. It's covered by a CC licence, however you are allowed to copy it. Hope this helps!
  6. Thanks to everyone who has contacted me about the video. It's been well received so far. I've received some requests for smaller versions for easier downloading, so low-res versions may be downloaded here. The original Divx format is still available here.
  7. Thanks for your help everyone! I’m trying out GSAK with Plucker. The “export html” option seems to do the job well in GSAK. I did notice on the Geocacher –U pages, he recommends to tell Plucker to retrieve linked pages to a depth of 3. I found to get the clue, you have to go to 4. I haven’t tried spinner yet. The site was down when I tried to download the program. I am very happy with what I have. I’m still learning the fine points, but things are looking good!
  8. What is the best way to go? What do most people prefer? Like Ford vs Chev. Coke vs Pepsi, Apple vs PC, Magellan vs Garmin. What are the pros/cons of either setup? So far, GSAK/Cachemate seems the most popular, but how well does spinner work?
  9. Ok. In a fit of impulse buying, or possible craziness, I ordered a m125. I chose it because of the expansion slot and usb connection. So, here’s the next question. It was mentioned earlier, but GSAK/Cachemate or GPX Spinner/Plucker. If there is a thread, just post the link here. I’m looking forward to receiving my new toy.
  10. Anyone near 42.36.793? If so, please give ma a shout! Thanks.
  11. Hello from the Great whit North! If you would like, I could easily obtain that coordinate in Canada! If you're interested, give me a shout!
  12. I've never had a use for a PDA until now! I know nothing about them, so I need your opinion on this unit. This guy has lots available for sale. Check out this page. Not to mention the GPS units.
  13. Thanks guys! I'm checking out pda's on e-bay. I saw your post on the geocache forum.
  14. I recently completed a video magazine on Geocaching. It’s called “Icenrye’s Geocaching Videozine.” Taped in Prince George, the first episode focuses on building then hiding a cache and submitting that cache for approval. The cache involved is “A PG view #4 – the Smell of Money #1” The video is available for download in a high resolution format at my videozine download page. So drop by, grab a copy and spread the word. Please!
  15. Princess Auto has some. They're in rough shape, but usuable. $13 for a 50cal and i think $10 for a 30cal.
