  1. "Let them steal them" So you think its totally acceptable to encourage people to steal others property???
  2. We are just coming up to our 1300th find. Some have been brilliant, some have been good, some have been drivebys that we got because we were passing. I am now thinking its time to put something back into the game and stick some out, and am of the same idea as you, I have no intention of sticking a magnetic nano or a 35mm film pot out just for the sake of it. I want people to enjoy finding them, and that's why I have left it so long. A newish cacher near us had been caching for a couple of months and stuck out 15 caches round near us, all tiny plastic tubes, dodgy magnets and in fairly average places, half are now missing and hes not logged on since April. I realise there might be a genuine excuse, but its just a shame that people seem to run in these days and throw out some caches for the sake of it. Clearly I am not including you in this comment, its so good to see someone actually thinking it through! Best of luck, hope you get plenty favourite points.
  3. If you are on Facebook have a look for NW caching, or Yorkshire geocaching. We are between Oldham and Ashton, have done a few over near you, if we can help just drop us a line
  4. Sadly the NW caching forum is down at the moment- all I can say is its a really hard cache to work out, as suggested before -leave it for now and go back to it. I had a team of 4 of us trying to solve it, and it took us well over a month, and don't even look at Werewolf!!! Best of luck if you do try it.
  5. Try emailing the cache owner- I know a couple of people not that far away- will message them on Facebook for you.
  6. Mine came today...fantastic! Thankyou
  7. I'm in the glow in the dark blue camp please!
  8. Thankyou- am rubbish at anything computery
  9. This was taken on the way back to the carpark from Stag(ering)View GL6RK7R6
  10. I had a similar log by a cacher called Toxic! also in Germany. The Tb has been in a bedroom drawer since I bought it off Ebay (other selling sites are available) over a year ago and has not been anywhere.
  11. If you are near Stockport we might be able to collect them from you if you still have them?
  12. If you can keep the info short you might be able to use a dog ID tag, I have one on a Tb i sent out. Not brilliant, but better than nothing and a bit more durable than paper.
  13. Got an event 2.6 miles from our house tomorrow, get on the train at the bottom of the road, get off the train at the next stop, walk into the station bar. Might even be able to afford a drink with the money saved!!
  14. Hi, sorry to hear about your need to sell, if you are prepared to post to the UK I wouldn't mind a list please Clare.
  15. Anyone know if they went for DrSolly?... Glad they got home safely, we tried to help a friend of a friend who had 2 huskies escape- facebook was brilliant for getting the word round fast, and they also returned home safe and well.
  16. Yesterday we got our 700th cache I should like to congratulate myself. Oh, and J. And A, but hes our nephew and doesn't do all the ones we do.....
  17. Why can't we pay our respects in the morning at the usual time and then have an event later in the day?
  18. Magnesium sulphate as suggested before is also known as "drawing ointment" by some of the older generation, and some of the not so old ones who forget what its proper name is....
  19. All our caches have been genuine finds , and apart from a couple of very very soggy micro/nano logs we have signed the lot. In the case of them we took a photo on the camera phone then emailed the CO to ask for permission to log, which was granted. I work on the basis that if the log ain't signed then we don't log it, I know thats not how everyone plays but thats my way. Anyone point me towards a link for a new nano log? I have some spare of other sizes but not those. Thanks for all the comments too.
  20. Don't worry, create a new challenge to "throw 10 pieces of litter in the local park", put the litter back where you found it and claim the challenge for that instead.
  21. I'm going to hold my hand up here and ask for comments...my other half is a distance truck driver, and sometimes gets to do a cache or 2 whilst parked up overnight. A few weeks ago he logged a cache nr London around the same time that I ran out for a FTF about 2 miles from home. Now both finds were genuine, logbooks signed, but I still feel a bit uneasy that someone might look at the logs and suspect armchair logging...I however don't do that coz the only person I would be cheating is me. Any thoughts?
  22. I completed a challege today of picking up litter, and now i can't log it! I know its no big deal, but its slightly annoying........
