If you look in this guys profile, and click on "all forum posts by this luser" oops, I mean user, in his 44 posts, probably 35 of them are him linking to his Oklahoma Travel Bug prison. Yepper, a troll who wants attention. So I guess I should stop giving it to him

well, the definition of a troll is as follows, In Internet terminology, a troll is a person who enters an established community such as an online discussion forum and intentionally tries to cause disruption, most often in the form of posting inflammatory, off-topic, or otherwise inappropriate messages. I have not intentionally tried to disrupt, by innflammatory remarks, (unlike other here toward me) gone off topic (I started this topic!) and I dont think it has ever been inappropriate since the title is about travel bug prisions. LOL...I am just excited to start another unique cache like others in this forum and share it with everyone. This time prisoner transfers are possible! Now thats exciting!

just be sure to bolt the container to a tree, post, rock etc...if you dont the temptation to run off with a locked box found in the woods is too great. With it bolted down it keeps people from walking off with it. Also another hint is to dress it up like something official. Like write or paint on the outside "Official Geocaching station #xxxx Please do not disturb" I created theI.T.B.P. Oklahoma Branch a few years ago. I locked the container and bolted it to the tree. I told the cachers that the combination was the first 2 digits of the lat and the first two digits of the long. I used a Brinks combination lock, made of brass so it wont rust. Worked great. Never had a problem with people stealing or trying to break into it.

I actually agree with this. I locked the infamous travel bug prison oklahoma branch when I started it and then secure it from the inside to keep it from being stolen. Its also marked clearly as to what it is and where to find info on them. The first one was either stolen or washed away so I made sure the second one would not come to the same fate. I.T.B.P. I just have to ask, would you care if a local cacher went and retrieved all the bugs as soon as you put them in there, all the time, every time? I'm sure there's a lot of people who would do that, seeing as it's just a prison, as you call it. I really would not care. Its just a game to me. If I called this a Travel Bug Resort with a lake view, no one would get upset but the location, concept and design would all be the same.

Reason #200 why your cache theme is a bad choice. Again...Its not my theme thats is causing people to HAVE to rescue ALL the bugs...its thier choice to do so and then they have a hard time getting rid of them...

I have one in a tree...I had to do it this way so when the lake floods it wouldnt wash it away...its securly fastened to the tree in a way so that if it ever comes up missing then it had to be a geocacher that takes it... Infamous Travel Bug Prison-Oklahoma Branch

How is this a bad theme? If someone else takes them all and then has a hard time getting rid of them then it was THIER choice...not mine...

The only reason I added the rule to my Prison was because it was requested so that others can have fun getting to it... Travel Bug Prison-Oklahoma Branch Personally I dont care if all the bugs are taken at once or not...But I have been told its hard to get rid of a lot of bugs...read the logs

us really evilcachers might for instance "hide" a film can that has the lid missing like at the bottom of the tree laying in plain open site...then people think that it has been muggled, give up and leave... LOL

I have posted the "take one only" rule due to suggestions from people who have hunted my Infamous Travel Bug Prison Oklahoma Branch This is because if someone takes all the bugs from the cache, the next person that may show up later that day wont have anything for thier trouble since its sort of hard to get to.

How about this as a new type of travel bug....you would have to keep him moving...say no longer then 2 hours in a cache, pick him up, feed him, change him, then place him in another cache...

I grab all the TB's in a cache whenever I find them...I then place them here... I.T.B.P. I never have a problem with people grabbing more then one out of my cache either...it just opens the whole area up for me to grab more. evilcacher
