You can use a TOM TOM but there is a special procedure, not hard to do but takes practice reading the numbers and interpreting them, it will get you as close as any other GPS, if your interested let me know and I'll explain how to do it.

Hi, I purchased a USB cable for my Etrex H off Ebay, it came with a cd to load drivers, works great cost me $21au. I'm in Australia and it was from an Australian seller, but do a search and you should find one.

Hi, I was just wondering if it is possible, and how hard, to enter co-ordinates manually into a Garmin etrex h and the GPS 72? I can't seem to find any info on this. Thanks Peter.

Well we gave the tomtom another try today using the above method and it worked pretty well, we found 4 today, mind you they were rated at 1-1.5. Will see how it goes with harder ones.

We are new to this as well, and we were trying to use Tomtom with no luck, but after reading the above threads we are keen to give it another go and to see if it works better, will let you know.
