  1. I think you are putting too much thought into my method. If someone tries it and it doesn't work for them, then so be it. Give it a rest.
  2. True. But I'm anal about my coords. I personally would not want my cache to be 30 feet off.
  3. I don't care what "everyone" was trying to tell me. The CO asked how to get accurate coords and I told her my method. It works for me. I then post the coords with my cache hide. No one had a problem with finding the hides.
  4. Oh, gee. Guess you need to use another method.
  5. I always check my caches when a DNF is logged but I do not log an owner maintenance check because of it. I log a note saying it's there and all is well.
  6. Dear, that went over your head. My coords are perfect due to my method for my cache hides. The original CO of this post was asking for advice. I gave her my method. It works. So, where are your coords? .
  7. Update. I found more favorites that I placed on caches that have since been archived. I took them back, you bet I did, and can now give them to new caches published, especially new geocachers. Gives them that lift and incentive to become a life time member and addict of the geocache community.
  8. In my opinion, with no finds, it sounds like someone did it purposely. I would write a note saying the "cache is fine and all is well. The cacher is new to the geocaching". Or just delete the log.
  9. Not at all. It shouldn't be a problem for anyone. It takes skill and a good eye. Perseverance. You don't seem to get that.
  10. That's another irk of mine. A CO checking signatures on the paper logs to online logs and then asking the geocacher for proof. lol
  11. Because of their find counts and the date joined?
  12. We happened to us recently. lol Went down to replace the log and discovered that the other side was blank. The cacher was new. I think it makes them feel productive? lol
  13. I'll again ask...why geocache naked? What's the purpose?
  14. I highly recommend our method. We use it after taking the coords at the location. Never had a problem with this method. Sorry you do.
  15. It has been accurate for me. I highly recommend it.
  16. Maybe the caches were disabled? Welcome to the forum!
  17. Also read the logs of local cache hides!
  18. I don't understand the reasoning to geocache naked? In my area, you would be arrested for indecent exposure. But why would anyone want to be naked when geocaching? Aren't there naked communities and beaches for this hobby? After my husband suffered from a serious case of poison ivy that needed medical help and I had a couple of ticks...why expose yourself to these dangers? And I certainly wouldn't want to meet up with a naked geocacher in the woods. Geocaching Headquarters has many regulations, why not bar geocaching naked? It, in my opinion, demeans the sport and will cause many towns to ban geocaching all together.
  19. I don't. I find it fascinating that he geocaches barefoot! So cool.
