That is really interesting about Traven Rock Reset. I know there is a bencmark of some sort up on my parents farm. I will be going up there this weekend. I will check it out while I am there.

Today I took a quick walk out my drive and a 1/4 mile down the road and found my first benchmark. I am amazed how many benchmarks are within walking distance of my house. Most of them haven't been found yet. Looks like I will be first to find alot of the benchmarks in my area. Planning on going out again this afternoon and look for a couple more.

I am sooo glad I found this sport. I am a newbie and from my first find, I was hooked. I have three daughters (ages 9 and 7 year old twins) they LOVE IT. I think it is an incredible hobby for the whole family to enjoy. They are bugging me when can we do it again!

I would have to say...spring and fall is the best. Winters here are a bit too harsh to get out for too long. Unless of course I get off the mounatin, and go geocaching in the urban areas.

Hey Eric....Last time those little bugger were out,(17 years ago) I was working as a lifeguard at the Montgomery County park in Green Lane....(Upper Perk is my hometown)Oh it was terrible working every day in that mess of bugs and noise. I now live in the Endless Mountains in Sullivan County...so far no cicadas around here.
