It is logical that a puzzle cache on average has less founds than a traditional cache so it is better to split the stastistics on cache types and you get different results.

I think the statistics are deceiving and that on average a traditional cache has more founds than less founds.

The percentage of puzzle caches has increased dramatically with lower average number of founds. What do the statistics for the European countries look like for traditionals only?

As an owner of trackables, I would be very happy if you do that. I'm happy with every move of my trackables (and disappointed with the discover logs).

Zoiets kun je niet alleen, moet je met meer doen denk ik. Het filmen zelf is denk ik vlot gedaan. Maar een creatief idee, een goed script en een goede produktie neerzetten (kiezen van locatie, acteurs/actrices, attributen enz) kost veel tijd.

Heb je een voorbeeld?

Mijn klacht is dat er geen eenduidigheid voor event-regels. Bijvoorbeeld een event in Nederland is verboden binnen 50km van een Mega op dezelfde dag. Hebben Nederlandse reviewers verzonnen. En dan het noemen van organisaties in de listing. Vlinderstichting, scouting? De Vlinderstichting heeft zelfs niet eens het goede-doelenkeurmerk! Toch hebben we de ene vlinder-CITO na de andere. Maar een event voor Earth Hour? Dat mag dan weer niet. Of parkeergarages noemen... En dan het commerciële. Ik heb bij de MEGA in Parijs een gesprek gehad met een lackey juist over dit onderwerp. De mega-events worden steeds commerciëler. Opeens mag dan alles. Geocaches worden letterlijk verkocht tegen geld (boekjes). Locaties worden genoemd, entreeprijzen natuurlijk niet en zonder entreegeld kom je niet eens binnen. Een workshop GSAK aanprijzen mag wel maar een lijstje met vendors mag in de listing opeens niet omdat het commercieel is. En juist dat vind ik als event-ganger weer interessant om te weten. Wat ze met mijn klacht gedaan heeft weet ik niet, ik denk niets. Zoiets als Keystone of Eartha die op het algemene deel van het forum steeds uitleg geven of hun interpretaties van de regels uitleggen vind ik een verademing. Dat mis ik in Nederland ook.

Mij is om soortgelijke redenen ook events afgewezen ('te dichtbij' of naam in de titel enz). Bij mij is het melden van parkeerinformatie verboden want betaald parkeren = commercieel.

Om nog even on-topic te blijven. Deze discussie was ook een keer op één van de laatste podcasts van GeoGearHeads en daar was de klacht dat binnen de USA de reviewers verschillende opvattingen hebben.

Dan zijn we het eens. HQ luistert niet naar de community. En daarom is er geen vertrouwen van cachers in HQ wat betreft appeals tegen reviewers.

Dat zag je bij die actie van de virtuals. "Secret algoritm.". Mooie duidelijkheid...

Dat komt geocachers geen vertrouwen in HQ hebben.

Geen wonder dat het geocachen achteruit loopt.

Ik ben het met Lingbeek eens.

"The logbook must be physical, replaceable, easy to sign, and enclosed within a container." Easy to sign... Does that mean that D5 traditionals are from now on forbidden? Does it mean that non-pencil logs are forbidden? I know some very creative alternative ways of logging with high favourited geocaches.

How about mega-events where you need a ticket?

The title of this thread suggest that it is about the whole website.

I would like to report a bug. When you go to your log there is a possibility to upload a picture. Then you get in a screen with title "Upload a Geocache Log Image". Under "File" in bold there is button with text "Browse". On the right hand side of the button there is text with default "No file selected". The colour of that text is now the same as the colour of text in the browser menu, in my case Firefox. The rest of all text-items on the page is black. In my case my text colour in the browser-menu is yellow (on black background). In the screen I see "No file selected" as yellow on white which makes it unreadable. I suggest to set the text colour of this item also to black, the same as the other text items in this page/screen.

This is exactly the concept of the World Wide Flash Mob events.
