  1. Personally I din't think it is wrong to log a find on a cache you helped hide. To me it is no worse than signing a log on a cache you fund with a group if you were not the first to spot it. I don't think a person should claim FTF on a cache they helped hide, but since FTF is meaningless to some, so what. If it's not your cache log it. And keep hiding caches for the rest of us to find.
  2. If you make it a puzzle with the clues leading to the Dewey numbers on the spine of the books, or have each stage have the Dewey number for the next stage, then the parking lot can be the GPS coords. This makes it either a puzzle or a multi. I would opt for a puzzle, since if one book disappears, the whole series is not compromised. Sounds like a really fun concept, too bad it is too far away for us to try. Good luck.
  3. You could try Lee Valley at www.leevalley.com , they have quite a few varieties of small magnets.
  4. In Southern Nova Scotia we have 2 cachers, falach-fead and islander1988 that each have a series of puzzle caches. If you look up their caches you will definitely get some very good ideas.

    Useless Hints

Recently did a cache called Up and Over. The clue was" look up look way up". got a DNF on this one because the cachers before us found it on the ground and sent an e-mail to the CO saying "didn't know where the cache came from so hid it in some roots". Clue was useless or user was clueless?
  6. We have been at this for only a little while as well. One of our first mistakes was not looking at the type of cache. You can look all day and never find a puzzle cache at the posted coords. Did that and learned our lesson.
