  1. I totally agree with John. It would be a shame to archive this because of the cheaters. We often say that,"They are only cheating themselves." But in this case they are cheating those of us us have aspired to this cache over the years. Please keep it active. Randy
  2. Thank you Forest! I've made the changes you suggested. It looks like a 4 meter proximity might be the sweet spot. I'll test it in the field and see what happens. And yes, the "On Proximity" events have been eliminated. I was just playing with them as a way to get beyond the error. Thanks for your comment on the maze. I've got a ways to go with it. I want to add media and various field puzzles to it before I publish. Thanks again, Randy
  3. Here it is. Thanks in advance. 5x5.zip
  4. I am building a 5 x 5 Urwigo/Wherigo cartridge. As you enter the various cells of the maze the adjacent cells become active and visible. Other cells that are no longer adjacent become inactive and invisible. These (and other actions) are triggered by the "On Enter" event for the zone (cell). Entering the first cell works fine, the dialogue is triggered and the adjacent cell is revealed and activated. You can select the second cell in "Locations" and it will guide you there and indicate that you are "In Zone." But, no events are triggered and the additional cells are (of course) not activated. I am thinking that the "In Range" or "In Proximity" settings may be the issue. I have unsuccessfully played with these. The programming works correctly in the Urwigo Simulator but not in the field. Any help would be appreciated. Randy

    Login Timeout

Something has changed at GC.Com and it seems like I am having to log in much more frequently. For example, you log in and look at a cache, when you come back x minutes later (I am not sure what X is but it is much shorter than it used to be) you have to log in again to see it. Or, even more agravating, you are reading an EMail notification and you click a link to view a cache page. You have to log in to see it. From there, you decide to view your "My Account" page and it makes you log in again. I am certain that the number of times I have to log in per day has gone from a few to more than a dozen. This seems to be true whether I am using Firefox or IE7. I understand about cookies and they are enabled. Any suggestions? Thanks, Randy
  6. I find the find-by keyword option to be frustrating. When you do a search on a keyword, for example "eagle", you get a list of hundreds of caches sorted (as far as I can tell) in no particular order. If I am looking for a local cache with that keyword, I end up looking through multiple pages of listings for remote locations before I find my local caches. My recommendation would be that this list be sorted by distance so that the local caches are listed on page 1. Another alternative that would be slightly less useful would be to sort the listings by state.
  7. A friend uses his GPS for finding minerals around the world. He has a Magellan Meridian Platinum. He is doing a project in New Zealand and is looking for topos that can be uploaded to his Meridian. Any ideas? Thanks, Randy
