I deleted the topo map that comes with the 550t and had previously saved it and am trying to copy it back, but my computer says there is zero bytes free. But total of all files is just about 500 megs. what gives? I seem to remember a post that explained how to free up memory. Something about the .img file is not really deleted but still takes up space.

I bought an Oregon 400t for the mapping when I go backpacking. I wondered what the Geocache button was. Duh

SPOT A satellite transceiver that allows family and friends to keep track of your position via internet mapping programs, assuming you transmit occasionally. Also transmits an emergency signal for search/rescue. Again, assuming you (can) push the transmit button. I believe there is a subscription fee for the service. Don't hit the wrong button. The Coast Guard and other rescue services charge mightily for responding to false rescue requests. Again the spot ou can find info here www.findmespot.com, I have one and have not used it yet but it gives me peace of mind. You can use it to let you friends follow your travels on a web site, not just for emergencies. If you buy one make sure you sign up for the insurance, It is about $8 a year and if you need to call for help everything is paid for, helicopters manpower everything. hope this helps.

I have posted many new caches and am wondering how to put HTML into the description boxes. I want to include pictures in my descriptions. Can someone direct me to a page with directions for posting new caches?

Why both. I have been dropping just th gpx files not the waypoint files and they seem to work fine?
