Bad Majec

I received the sad news this morning and cried and remembered how nice Sandy always was to me. She went out of her way to talk to me and make me feel welcome. The first time I met her I felt like I had known her for a very long time. I loved her enthusiasm and her creativeness in Geocaching and she will be sorely missed. My thoughts are with her family.

There are now 15 watchers ...but let's see if we can make it an even 150 by this time next week. Shelter III

Hey lead dog, you forgot me! I have found 66 ISQ's so far. Thanks to all that have placed them! And CONGRADULATIONS to all the Indiana Coin Quest Winners!! We didn't forget you. At the time the list was published, you had less finds. Lead Dog...I hate to dispute your careful accounting....but I have 21 ISQs. How DO you keep track? I just went back and counted....Just wanted to be able to participate....Thanks!

Thanks, Rupert! Sorry to tell you, but it was at Patience that I found my 500th cache! It almost was your ISQ...but there were circumstances that prevented that from happening....several DNFs....Boooo hisssss......

If those of us in the East-Central Indy area would like to form a website to keep up with "local" things, social events, fun stuff, Cachegurl says that she will make the website. She already has two of her own. We could have a FREE website, however that has lots of pop-ups, or we could have one for $8.95 a month with no ads and our own domain name. Anyone interested? Thanks for your thoughts. I'd hate to tell you what all we HAVE done. Besides burn the place down....you name it...we've done it. There are approximately 500 bolts in the shelter and everyone of them has been taken off. Every crack that we can reach has been proded or poked. Every bit of gum has been removed from under the picnic table. Wood bee holes have been poked. I could go on and on....but keep sending the suggestions, it only takes one!!

Sure, it's okay with ME! I'd love to hear your theories!

For those of you who are wondering about the whereabouts of the cache and whether or not it is physically at the coords. Here is a log from the page that you may have not read. October 5 by IndyMagicMan (1103 found) Here are the guidelines for a traditional cache: (visit link) I’m saying it again for the last time. There is a cache there. The cache does contain a log to sign per the guidelines. The coords are for the location of the cache. I have told a few people via e-mail so I’ll state it here. I took three readings on my GPSr, averaged them, and rechecked them. I found the coords to be very good; well within the accuracy any experienced geocacher would expect. I have not been caching for 2+ years, 1000+ legit finds, and placing many hides to blow it all on some big devious trick. Sorry guys, but the ‘if the cache is there’ type logs are personally insulting as they call my integrity in to question, and are starting to get me. I have a lot of respect for the skill of many of the seekers of this, and to be honest am baffled that you have not found it yet with the time you’ve put in. It is a challenging hide, though. I’ll stop now before I let a hint slip. If it’s stressing you out, take a break. We do this for fun, right?

We have been told by IMM that this is NOT an off-set cache or a puzzle cache. Guess that theory is out.

If you went to search four times, and logged three DNFs, you forgot to log one. There's no harm in logging a DNF when you searched and came up empty-handed.... again. Then there should be no harm in posting a note with the fact that you DIDN'T find the cache too....right? Someone needs to write a book on proper Geocaching etiquette I see....

How many DNFs do you NEED to list on one place. Wouldn't it be redundant to log more than 3? Is there a higher being keeping track of how many DNFs we have? Does it go against our Geocaching record? What are your thoughts?
