Redfist: What buggy behavior are you seeing? -
When viewing the maps, are you viewing them via HTTP or HTTPS? Look at the browswer and see if it shows a little lock icon next the the url.

Hi Raine, no your link doesn't work. I'm using Windows 7. Firefox 20.0.1 when I click on maps page the map displays the egg timer spins around on the tab for ages and I get a message in the bottom of the screen saying connecting to geocaching.com then connecting to tiles01.geocaching.com some times its tiles03 or tiles04 then it times out. I don't know your skill level for computers is so if this is too much let me know. Open a command window and type tracert tiles.geocaching.com and paste the results in to a private message to me or email me at raine@geocaching.com Thanks!

We made some changes today that we feel were the root causes of the slowness of the site with high traffic. We are monitoring the stats and with all luck, won't see this issue again! -Raine

Looking into this issue. -Raine

The limitation is a purposeful one as to not allow someone to use the end point of the API in an abusive way. I'll take a look at this use case, since I don't know why there would be 25 things stacked right on top of each other. -Raine

CLF: Try again please... -Raine

I'm pretty sure you used to be able to do this on the Beta maps. Also, I have a personal website using the Google Maps API, and it allows you to click outside of a popup to close it. Try clicking on a ship to bring up its info window, then clicking outside it. It will close. Are the Geocaching.com maps using something different? You're using the v2 Map API, we're using the v3 It's on my list of things to tackle. -Raine -
