I think setting hard puzzles is despicable behaviour
Have to agree with you there
-
Nice to be there and tease you a bit when you found it

Can anyone tell me if when creating a Tom Tom POI file from GSAK if you can display the usual icons within Tom Tom. I can only manage a red square.
Thanks in advance.
Yes it can be done, e-mail sent

Just noticed the Mega Event coin has it's icon displayed

So without hesitation I asked for the charge rates
Good morning,
The internet access charge is £9.00 for a 24hour period or £5.00 for an
hour. This can be purchased via a credit card or at Reception.
Kind Regards
Lyndsey

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I checked the usual places (Waymarking.com has a "free wifi" category for instance) and there seems to be no mention of free wi-fi in the area. Anyone know better?
I know that virtually all hotels have wi-fi of some sort: attendees from North America will probably assume that it's free, as that seems to be the default over there. The Cedar Court website doesn't mention anything as far as I could see, and if there is none then it could severely curtail cache/trackable logging and last-minute checks.
I guess that many people will wait until after the weekend before logging on-line anyway, but I tend to get as many as possible out of the way immediately and especially like to sort out trackables before they cause confusion.
I mailed the Hotel about this
here is there reply
Good morning Mr P,
I would like to confirm that the hotel has internet access available for all
residents in the public areas and also the guest bedrooms. Charges do apply
for this service.
If I can be of any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Kind Regards
Lyndsey

As there are a few new cachers around, it's time to give this thread a bump.
MrsB
Good idea Mrs B, I'm still here in S Yorks, if anyone wants a tour
-
Would i be right in thinking you just have to find a trigpoint and email the number to gain a find?
No, only the ones listed on the cache page!
-
Edited to add - and my MM icons started going loopy a couple of weeks ago - I haven't changed any settings or imported any new icons into MM, but all of a sudden I'm getting blue dots....
Have GC changed something in the PQ's?
I thought it was only me who was having this problem with the blue dots
-
I've just been reading a thread about this over in Geocaching Topics and I was wondering if anyone has come across this idea over this side of the Pond...
It seems that when a cacher is approaching a significant milestone then their friends may set up a "Tribute Cache" for them to find with the request in the cache description "Please let cacher XXXXX be First to Find on this cache".
Now, I know I live in darkest Wales, but I've never seen this set up before: I've seen geocachers given geocoins to mark milestones and I've seen TBs released to celebrate something special, but I've never seen a "Reserved FTF Cache" set for someone...
Your thoughts, please?

In the words of a famous film
I'M TEASEL as well.
Just a thought is it the GPX donators who get teasel's stats ?
Afraid not. We're Teasel too.It was only recently that we discovered that we could 'donate a PQ'. Have mailed Teasel direct to offer.
But I did crack it last night. If I created a new search and ran that, I got our own data set, and downloaded the files for MM and TomTom. Later I reran the search and up popped Teasels dataset. Just tried running the search again and I'm Teasel. In fact if I run any previous search I'm Teasel, but if I create a new search I'm me.
Richard
NO NO NO! I'm Teasel
-
Hi Ian,...well done
One wee glitch which might clear up,..my stats page looks ok, and it shows the recent caches I've found waiting to be rated etc.
But when I run a search from my home co-ords, it seems to think I'm someone called TEASEL
none of the caches I've found are shown as found .... same with the owned ... opened up the search by 500 miles and lo and behold I "own" 3 caches...... yours.... and I ve found caches in places I've never been to...
Same here, I'm Teasel too
Thanks Ian it's great to have the site back
-
I know that Teasel's feeling is to keep the site free to use, there are those of us that donate PQ's to help.
I'm happy to donate, towards helping to keep the site running.
I'm sure others (as they have said in the forums) are willing to donate.
So how about it?
A Donate button (Paypal?) so those wanting to can donate, nothing extra gained -other than that "Warm Fuzzy Feeling" of doing something to help?
G
Ditto on that
-
Thanks Adam for your hard work over the past 2 years (I hope someone takes the site over)
-
I'm doing some verification now, to check the numbers in the caches.
Obviously, I've got the final co-ords, and have selected some numbers that add up to give you this.
Then, I've dished them out, these are written in the log books, and all sorted.
However, before anyone makes the journey for the final, I'm verifying what people are finding. Just to make sure it all ties together!
It should, and will, but yknow how it is
PKLong has emailed me the numbers from all caches he's found, can any finders please send me the numbers they have found in the following Little Quests :
Cambs, Cumbria, Dorset, Co Durham, E Yorks, Essex, Glocs, G Manc, Herefords, Kent, Lancs, Northants, N Yorks, Northumberland, Shrops
Email, not on this thread - doh!
PM Sent of the ones I've done + my own

Thanks Mandy all sorted now with your help!

I was away for over a week and put some t.b's and coins in a cache at the start of my hols, then I had a brain wave to log the items into the cache via my mobile phone, I did a search and the cache came up so I dropped the coins and tb's off.....only problem is it was a cache abroad with the same name and not the one in the UK.....how do I put the record straight, I don't have the tracking numbers
Stevie are these the 6 TBs/coins you dropped into our Durham Bug Box?
I will be up there later today and I will see if I can sort them out
Mandy
Spot on Mandy, I've managed to flick a couple over but there are still some I'm wanting numbers for
