  1. My shipping rate is international, which I would expect to pay a little more for, but I have just had 14 coins shipped internationally for much less than this, I think it will put a lot of people off bidding, unless they don´t notice of course...
  2. I was about to bid on some of your coins then noticed the shipping costs..... nearly $24 for one coin?!? I think I´ll pass thanks.
  3. I might be interested in the chinese coins with the square holes, not seen one of those before as a geocoin but i wear one around my neck lol
  4. I haven´t heard anything yet, so I hope not LOL. The OP did say it would be after Christmas...
  5. Obviously I am aware of that site which is why it says "I find cointracking confusing" in the quote you used above. Yes, of course, now I can see what you meant. Wrong interpretation by a non native speaker ...... Ah I think I can see where the confusion came from the problem i see with this site is if you have a large collection of coins it is going to be problematic to display all of them at the photo size that is showing. or is there a way to have smaller photos. also, if you don't have someone's list link, is it possible to search over the entire site for a specific coin? there used to be a web site that sort of fell apart that had a similar name. it allowed you to search for a specific coin and to see who had one either to keep or trade. you could also search by collector. for example, with my love of tranquilities, i could do a search for tranquility and all the coins that had that name would pop up. i use cointracking and the only thing i find confusing is there is no consistent naming guidelines. sometimes one has to be creative in searching for a coin. Yeah it is the naming of the coins that I find most troublesome, it can even make searches awkward. I´ve received an email from the site owner and he is considering adding some sort of search facility, which I think is the main thing missing from the site. i´ll let you know if this develops.. i am not very bright either. i have photos of some of my coins on flickr, like the ones i want to post on the forum, but i don't see a place to upload either. here is a screen shot of my newly created account. cointracking really only works well if one pays the yearly fee so you can add to your own collection by picking up information from another user. I think I know what has gone wrong here, you are in the completed webpage for your collection, not the control panel part where you can add you coins... If you log out and log back in again you should be able to get to a page that looks similar but had an "add coins" button where you can add all the details
  6. You are aware of this website, aren't you? Here you can search for available coins in other collectors' lists and initiate trades. And more! Obviously I am aware of that site which is why it says "I find cointracking confusing" in the quote you used above. You need to upload your coin photos to photobucket or similar then use the direct link code in the space where it says "image" on the "add coin" page. hope this helps I find cointracking very useful because I can view other's collections. I have an account with them, but haven't got my act organized enough yet to add my HUGE collection to it. Someday... I have ended up with some very, very nice coins that I found from others' collections on cointracking. Don't really see the point of having a place to upload my own collection unless others can see it, too. You could do that in excel or some other non-web-based program if you just want to keep a list of your own collection. edited 'cause I can't spell. but others CAN see it, here is my list:My coins so I don´t really understand the point you are trying to make, can you explain please? I also have an account with cointracking, but as I said above, I find it quite time consuming and confusing to use. The first thing I do when I receive a new coin - after I´ve finished oo-ing and ahh-ing of course - is to take a photo and upload it to photobucket with it´s name if possible - I am new to the collecting world and I don´t know every coin of by heart like some of you seem to lol. Once I have done that it is very simple and quick to update my list with photos on geocollector.com than it is on cointracking. If it is coins that I am planning on keeping then it´s probably worth the extra time, but for traders that may come and go quickly I think I will be also using this site, and it is more likely to be up to date than my cointracking page....
  7. well it is useful to me - I find cointracking quite confusing and it is nice to have somewhere that I can list my coins quickly and easily, with photos-and have a link that I can post anywhere that will show my full collection, in sections, including coins that I am keeping, coins to trade etc. I´m not saying that it is perfect but it is a lot quicker and easier than most of the other coin sites out there...
  8. I used the Direct link from photobucket on mine and it seems t work fine. http://www.geocoincollector.com/CoinViewer.cfm?UserID=83 I have emailed the site owner to ask if other peoples collection will be available for browsing at a later date, or if a coinsearch engine will be available, i will let you if i get a reply
  9. i attended a 12-12-12 event and took some of my trackables and i got notified when the discover logs were posted....
  10. I have just found this site and it seems to be quite a good place to show your collection online. Does anyone else use this site?
  11. wow that is lovely, gotta have one
  12. Very well put, it seems cruel that such a very personal coin should have such problems. I love everything about this coin, the design, the colours and mostly the sentiment. I would love to trade if there are still any available though I don´t have much in the way of traders as I am a fairly new collector. Good Luck on finally getting the coins in hand, and season greetings
  13. very nice! This will be going on my "want" list
  14. I resent the invite. If you don't get it check your spam folder and then let me know and I will resend it. Are you getting the emails I am sending you. I´ve got it now and added myself to the list, Thanks. I´m a new collector but I love the idea of sending random coins to people. One thing has occurred to me though, this list has obviously been going for a long time - is there any way of knowing if everyone on it is still an active geocaher/collector? I know sometimes people start hobbies with much enthusiasm and then forget about it after a while. I would hate to send coins to someone who no longer collects them and will not appreciate it as much as another person on the list would...
  15. Checked my address and agree, first row is wrong! I do not wish to confuse matters but i would love an invite when things are sorted out if possible?
  16. Thanks for the info AtlanaGal, hope everything gets sorted with the copywrite and can´t wait to see the new version.
  17. ok that's great, well I would definitely have at least 25 then but probably more depending on funds
  18. again, I am snowed under with Xmas bills right now, but I could probably go for 25. Depending on when it will be produced and when the payment will be required I might increase the order. When would you be thinking about going ahead with it, if it is viable?
  19. thanks guys, I've seen the collectors pack but I have all of those ones in hand or on their way, I knew I had seen others too. JackHoe thanks - What an amazing collection you have, makes me feel jealous with my grand total of 21 coins lol. As I suspected it is the AE and AS versions that I am missing, so I will just have to keep searching. I just love these coins and of all the coins I have seen these are the ones I like the best so i hope one day I will be able to complete my set. I do find it a bit odd that when spending so much time and effort designing and producing all of these geocoins all over the world, not many artists seem to make any records of all the editions that have been done, for people to view online. It would be nice for collectors to be able to know for sure how many editions of each coin there are, and whether they are missing any from the collection. Also, as I mentioned before, the correct names for the editions. It is not just the wolfpack coin that I have had problems with. Is there a reason for this that I am missing?
  20. Is there a list available, preferably with photos, of all the editions that have been made of the Wolfpack coins - I keep finding new ones and I want to collect the whole set but I am getting confused about which is which, sometimes they are listed without a name, and I would like to know the names of all of the available coins so I can list them in my database correctly. Any help would be appreciated
