  1. Hello, we are doing the 31 days of caching and logged one right after midnight (12:07am CST to be exact), but it posted on Geocaching.com as the day prior....the 12th. I ended up editing our log/post so we could get the credit for the 13th. Is there a setting somewhere in the iphone app. that will post them on the correct day?
  2. 10 Wood, Hawaiian-Themed KeyChains for $1. If you make it to Honolulu, Hawaii (on Oahu), there is "The Swap Meet" that surrounds the entire Aloha Stadium every Wednesday and Saturday. We must have purchased $20 worth when we were there in 2010 and we're going back in 2012, I'll likely ship back boxes of them. There were surfboards, Honu (Turtle) and flower key-chains made of wood and of decent quality. We also look for deals on USB portable drives and can usually pick them up for a buck or two when they are clearing inventory to make way for larger USB storage devices.
  3. I sent you a message from GC. We are arriving on Oahu today (9th) at 3pm and staying Waikiki beach area. We'll be all over the island visiting Ohana and hope to come across some good memorable caches. Any suggestions of parks/locations to check out? The coins I must say are nice, but sharing them (or the thought of sharing them) is more rewarding than simply leaving them in a box here. Mahalo!
  4. Thank you Both for your suggestions! Happy Caching! ps. here are two of the coins we will be dropping in Hawaii, both our "momma" and "pappa" Honu http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?id=2122830 http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?id=2122947 I hope they last a while and spread some joy.
  5. thank you! That will work, but isn't the "note" on the cache a nuisance? Or maybe I should just delete the note after? (You like turtles? Honu is the hawaiian word for turtle )
  6. Hello, we're about to leave for Hawaii and wanted to take a few newly activated Geocoins to drop there. We want the miles they travel from home to be logged as well and they have yet to be in any cache to this point. Does anyone have a suggestion about how we should log them to get a starting point (our home) so the miles are tracked on our way from here to Hawaii?? Any ideas how to handle this are appreciated! Aloha!
  7. .... Still got lots for sale! Sent an email asking for more info. Delivered today and they look fantastic! Thank you very much!!!

  9. Thank you all for the replies! I thougth this was the case, it's the most logical. While I don't intend the DNF's to be a significant % of my logging, it (sigh) does come with the territory. Today, our whole family spent an hour on one....DNF and the last 15 logs were DNF's. "Evil" is in the name....and it lived up to it today!
  10. Hello all. Just a quick question: if I find a cache that was previously logged as a DNF for myself , should I find/edit the DNF or create a new "find' log and leave the DNF as it was? Currenly, I am creating a new log for the find. Thank so much!
  11. Same here on both our iPhones, but not when we were connected on wi-fi. Only when we were out and about on the 3G network. I simply hopped on wi-fi, saved the ones that were local and then went out after them. Although annoying, I'm glad at least I could save them.
